4 Thurlestone Rock

Very nice apartment have stayed here twice before very clean all the needs you would want and fab views lots of lovely walks.

The only thing l can say is the weather was not to good and the top main bedroom window has not been mended since last year and the wind howled around it making quite a noisy otherwise l would stay here again.

We have stayed at No 4 often before and always loved it, lovely views over the beach.

It is very well equipped and comfortable. Slight niggle, couldn’t find any washing machine powder! We will be back!

Fire extinguisher out of date.

Carpet moth active and seen flying. Outside shed not accessible- padlock jammed. Would be great if there were loungers in the shed to use by the pool. Only 3 wooden chairs for balcony table. Could do with more mugs. Had a good midstay clean. Love that we can take our dog here and wake up for an early morning walk on the beautiful beach before the crowds arrive.

We have being coming to this apartment for a number of years and the standard has always been good.

In fact this year there were a number of improvements.There are always a few minor niggles,but nothing serious.The location and view remain superb and have booked for next year.

Really enjoyed our stay.

The bed in the master room felt absolutely tiny which wasn’t ideal but the views and the convenience of the flat was brilliant.

This is our second year here and it’s a great apartment.

I mentioned it last year but the master bedroom could fit a super king size bed rather than a king, most of the apartments we rent have super king size beds so the king size has had its day now. The fire doors self closers drove us mad as it must do the owners and easy to rectify, Just take them off. Thank you for replacing the faulty dryer so quickly which was great. Hope you don’t mind the feedback but I’m in the property business so feedback is useful. Thank you to Sue the owner who messaged me too so quickly.

This is our 2nd visit and already booked for next year, we love it here as we can see the rock from bedroom and balcony and living room, the rock is there we scattered our 24 year old sons ashes 2 years ago, it's so emotional but comforting, we will stay every year if possible.

Location is unrivalled.

Generally comfortable and lots of glasses and mugs etc. Sink in master ensuite is loose and dangerous. Could easily fall off if leaned on. Shelf in fridge door was broken-won’t be useable for much longer. We found one of the wooden chairs on the balcony was broken on arrival. Carpet has multiple holes from moth damage. Door to patio is difficult to close. It’s a shame it’s no longer possible to contact coast and county locally- just a central call centre with people who don’t know the property or area.

This is our 3rd stay at this property,it has an excellent position and is well maintained and has been refreshed since last year.

It was clean and we received a welcome note on arrival.It is well furnished and is well stocked with china,cutlery and glasses.u

Excellent apartment with amazing views- fantastic beach and a handy beach cafe close by.

We loved the fact the balcony was private and the apartment was so comfortable, also no noise from other apartments. We would love to go back next year, but my husband didn’t like the tiny little lanes!! Maybe I shall have to drive!!

It was a lovely property very comfortable and clean and such a wonderful position the only thing l cauld want there was some chopping boards (only half a broken one there) needed to protect the worktops.

It was a very relaxing holiday and we have booked it for next year.

we have stayed many times over the years at the Thurlestone Rock apartments.

We have stayed in no 4 a few times and noticed a few things, the sink in the en-suite is very loose, if someone were to lean on it I think it would come away. The oven needs a good clean, the inside of the doors were very dirty. We had to buy toilet paper as there was not enough for the two of us. Having said that we will return.

Very enjoyable stay, Lovely apartment and facilities with Plenty of hot water and modern appliances. Our only comment/ suggestion would be to replace the old king size bed in the master bedroom to a super king size bed as the mattress and bed look dated and a super king size is far more comfortable. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay,our grandchildren used the pool and the location overlooking the beach and sea is ideal.

We did have to defrost the freezer,which l see to remember we did last year. Overall excellent and we have booked for next year,but disappointed l was unable to use my £40 voucher,if this could be applied to my booking for next year l would be very grateful.

Such a gorgeous location, wonderful sea views, right on the beach and a light and roomy apartment. The balcony is the clincher - just open the door from the living room and soak up the ozone and the sound and view of the sea. A lovely relaxing place to say.

We had another amazing stay at Flat 4.

It's extremely comfortable and well appointed. The weather was unbelievably good this year and we were able to enjoy every minute of the incredible position of the property to the beach and sea.

Hello This was our 7th or 8th stay at 4 Thurlestone Rock.

We felt this time the flat is a little tired and could do with a refresh. During our stay the dishwasher was blocked so not in use the previous renters left us a note to say that but C&C did not pick this up. The bed in the 3rd bedroom was very un comfortable for an adult , a very thin mattress . We have booked in May 23 and hope things will be rectified by then.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was ideal for our grandchildren,especially with the pool.

The apartment was well appointed and maintained,although the dish washer did play up. We have booked for next year.

The flat is beginning to look tired.

Balcony doors and windows in the flat need desperately replacing. Also on the balcony needed cleaning and balcony furniture cushions needed safe disposal. Extract in the family bathroom did not work and towel rail in en-suite did not work.. Having said we had a lovely holiday with great sunsets

Couldn't ask for more , apartment right on the sea so close you could probably fish from the balcony when the tides in !

Apartment clean and fresh , very spacious and had everything you needed , my son loved the pool and when the tide is out the sea becomes a warm crystal clear place to paddle or swim and can be used by all ages , if you can I recommend the coast walk to nearby hope cove for a delicious ice cream , negatives..not many , met a couple of rude people from Apartment above , but you can't choose the people you meet , and the roads are really narrow which is a shame and off putting , but both of theses negatives have nothing to do with this beautiful apartment

The flat is extremely well appointed, clean and very comfortable.

The views are incredible! Amazing to watch a heron fishing in the rock pools from the balcony. We had a wonderful week and have some lovely memories created in an idyllic location. We've been to Flat 4 before and we'd definitely book again. The perfect place to visit and come away feeling relaxed and recharged.

Fantastic apartment in fantastic location!

I have already submitted a complaint as there are a list of issues with this property, and it is not as advertised.

General repairs are needed, for example windows don’t open, toilet lids missing, broken handles on pans, the front door has to be locked by key to keep closed, the broadband does NOT work!! I could go on but would hope the company would have the courtesy to at least reply to my complaint

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect.

The apartment was spacious and clean, some of the furniture was a little worn & a couple of the windows wouldn't open but these are very minor points and didn't in any way detract from our enjoyment.

This was the last year that we be visiting no 4 we have bee going for seven years, but I have Ms and I can no longer do the stairs!

It’s always been brilliant but it’s now needs a bit of tender loving care ! There was only WiFi for two days we did ring and it was put right then it would go again got fed up with ringing! The windows need some love some don’t open! The bedroom wall lights were broken but working! Dishwasher work when it wanted too ! In general it’s time to spend money on it ! But thank you for all the lovely holidays we have had over the years .

Fantastic location for the beach.

The Apartment is a great size and well equipped but could benefit from some updating , especially in the bathrooms.

One of the best rental properties I’ve stayed in for position and facilities.

What a great apartment!

I could live there. It's spacious, practical, quiet and what a location. It could very easily accommodate three couples or a large family with no problem. I recommend this property.

Bit surprised by lack of towels in property as we wrongly expected these as when we have stayed in other flats in this block these have been provided.

Towel rails in bathrooms didn’t work despite sign.

We have been going to thurstone Rock, for 6-7 years at least 4year in number 4 , we really enjoy staying at number 4 it’s clean well equipped and seeing I have Multiple sorosis its so relaxing to just sit and listen to the sea sun or rain

There were a couple of points which gave the impression that the apartment was not as well maintained as it could be.

The sink was lose in the bathroom and there is mould and flaking plaster in the master bedroom. Location was excellent which made up for the tired and dated appearance of the accommodation. When travelling with four children the supply of bath towels would be appreciated due to lack of luggage room in vehicle

This is a lovely apartment with stunning views of the sea.

You wake up in the morning and all you can see is the sea - you could be on a cruise ship! The location is perfect, being so close to the beach. The beds are comfortable and the sitting/dining room has been refurbished and is a lot nicer than the photos online. Unfortunately though we will not be able to stay at this apartment again as the wifi is almost non-existent. In this day and age wifi is a necessity and a basic provision. I can only assume it is on a basic package as other guests/residents there told us they didn't have a problem with it. Also the TV signal is terrible, at one stage we could only get BBC1 & BBC2. Having stayed at other Coast and Country Cottages we have never had this issue. Such a sham to spoil a great place!

Good apt. As per description. Well equipped. Clean on arrival. Very good position. Great holiday for kids and dog. Plus we had lovely weather.

The apartment is lovely, though it is a little away from everything, but if you like a bit of seclusion and don't mind the drive, it's really worth it.

This was an excellent property : spacious, spotlessly clean, well appointed with beautiful views. The only negative point was the fact that the pump on the heating system for the swimming pool broke down the week before we arrived. It had still not been repaired until the end of our stay there, so the water was absolutely freezing, despite the hot sunny weather ! In fact, we didn't use the pool as it was so cold. The use of a heated pool was one of the reasons we chose this property.
