“Savernake has a fantastic position and that is why we return again and again.”

    Perfect garden.

Perfect garden. Cannot rate 5 stars because some light bulbs we had to replace and all heaters were left full on when we arrived that caused the small fridge in the kitchen to leak. After pulling the fridge out and turning off the heater behind it and all the others in the house everything was fine. Oven seal needs replacing and wooden table on patio is rotting and is dangerous for splinters.

We were very grateful to you for your feedback in respect of your recent stay at Savernake. ?We check our properties prior to tenants' arrival and would like to apologise that the heaters were left on and some light bulbs had blown. Your comments regarding the oven seal and patio table are also appreciated and have been fed back to our Property Services team to investigate during the next changeover. We trust that you had an enjoyable stay in spite of these issues and hope to welcome you back to the area soon.  - Sykes owner relations

About the location

No village

Chatsworth 1 mile; Bakewell 5 miles.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
