The property itself is immaculate, thoughtfully designed and full of character. The gardens are a highlight, beautifully laid out and with the benefit of open fields if you have a dog. The location is excellent, quiet and private but close to Polruan, Fowey and Polperro - it's a great base from which to explore. • "The hosts Roger and Ian could not have been more caring, more helpful and more generous and obviously love to share their beautiful property and surrounding gardens with visitors."

Upon arriving we were greeted and welcomed so warmly by them and Roger had baked us a delicious welcome cake. We’d ordered a meal which was cooked by Roger to 5 star restaurant standard and the dishes were then cleared away for us. The property is beautiful, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is in a very peaceful location - ideally situated with a short walk (around 10 minutes) to the spectacular South West Coast Path leading to beautiful beaches. A short drive away is the Bodinnick ferry across to Fowey, and Polperro, Looe and St Austell are also not too far away. We really cannot fault our stay at all and, as experienced cottage holiday renters, Pendower House has to rate as the best we have ever visited. In fact, although Roger and Ian were not a continuous presence during our stay - we left feeling as though we had made some really good friends - and had found a holiday cottage that we’d love to experience again. We highly recommend Pendower House. All through our stay we were made to feel so special and nothing was too much trouble for them.

I am very surprised by your review especially since I have recently been awarded a certificate for having achieved 100% satisfaction from all our guest reviews during the entire full months of July , August and September this year . I always strive to maintain extremely high standards and it was no different for your stay. Indeed , I note you make no reference or comment to the Christmas Door Wreath, Christmas Decorations , table crackers, Christmas Hamper and festive chocolates and bowls of fruit provided for your stay in addition to our normal welcome grocery pack of items including a home baked cake. If all you needed was a "hoover " then that could easily have been provided as I was present on site every day during your stay and indeed said to you to only ask if there was anything you need .I am sorry that this obviously spoiled your holiday and caused you to give me such a low figured review .I can only try harder in 2023 to maintain the 5 star rating. It is comfortable and well equipped. Roger is a most excellent host. He is very kind and incredibly helpful, happily spending time on the phone with us before we travelled, answering our queries. Fresh tomatoes and an amazing lemon cake were laid on for our arrival, along with local produce, and we even gathered apples from his orchard for a crumble. Set in a lovely area and a ten-minute walk from the coast path, we would happily return.

Guests even have there own garden with lilly pond. I would not use the word luxurious but everything is of extremely high quality. Roger Lamb (the owner) lives next door. He is an excellent host and gentleman without intruding at all. We have a JR BT cross who was made very welcome and loved wondering among all the trees and shrubs. This is one of the most relaxing places you could wish to be and very good value. We will return. Stephen and Chris lake, Portishead.

  • "The coach house was stunning in terms of decoration and furnishings."

The gardens and surrounding land were beautiful even in a very wet and soggy March and the location perfect for walking the coastal path and ferries to Fowey. Roger was a very friendly, helpful and generous host (providing us with homemade cake and chutney with other supplies) without being in any way intrusive. Highly recommended!

  • "The Coach House at Pendower House is an absolute gem of a holiday cottage."

We would highly recommend and will definitely return. The cottage is cosy, comfortable, extremely clean and warm as well as being very stylish and beautifully presented, with everything you need for a fantastic holiday. If you are looking at this cottage you will definitely miss out if you don't book! Within easy walking distance of the coast and in a fantastic location. Our week went too fast and Roger is a superb host and clearly really cares about your holiday experience and can't do enough for you. Our dog Beau loved his walks in the lovely grounds every day and as we visited in February 20 we now need to see the gardens in all the other seasons! Really close to Polruan and Fowey and our favourite days out were to visiting the beach at Lansallos and walking the coastal path and seeing the lovely village of Lerryn and walking through the woods there. Thank you again to Roger, you made us laugh and smile on our holiday and we hope to see you again soon!

Met on arrival by the owner Roger who made us more than welcome. Explained all about the workings of the Coach House and mentioned everything about the local area - recommending local places to visit and also where to grab a good meal etc. Facilities superb - luxurious probably the best thing I can say. Will certainly be heading there again when I next visit Cornwall.

The location is very isolated down narrow country lanes. Would not advise driving after dark in the winter months. Telephone signals very weak from this area.

There was an excellent rainfall shower and an abundance of piping hot water. The only minor thing I would change would be a blind to the sky light in the bedroom as the light woke me up at dawn, however this window also meant we had a great view of the stars! The host Roger was very amiable and helpful and left a lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers in the accommodation. Perfect if you want a get away from it break.
