  • "Really nice place, the photos dont do the view justice."

Spotlessly clean, comfy bed.and fab kitchen. Yes the bathroom is a tad small but ok for a couple weeks. Parking is easy, you either park 20 paces to your left near the roundabout or 40 paces to your right. There is a local shop, Indian and a Chinese restaurant 3 mins walk. The pub is 20 seconds from the door but you dont hear anything as there is a small alley way and a couple houses in-between. Good pub, welcoming and good beer.

  • "Absolutely perfect!"

Had a fantastic jubilee week highly recommended home from home, couldn’t ask for anything more.

  • "The property was very well designed and equipped."

The presentation of the property by the cleaner was spotless. living in the midlands about as far away from the sea as possible it was lovely to be able to look out as the tide made it’s way in and out twice a day. Parking by the roundabout was very tight due to abandoned vehicles. Future visitors should be aware that parking in the centre of Plymouth is an expensive hobby. At the other end of the park is a bus stop and the no. 2 takes you into the centre. Enjoy.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at 2 Beach Cottage."

The property was very well presented and contained everything we needed for our stay. No difficulty parking nearby a as was suggested, the roundabout outside seemed to be an informal car park to all. The friendly correspondence I had with the owners after our stay (regarding the accidentally kidnap of one of the towels and ice block!) further reinforced my view of this being a great place to stay. My only suggestion by way of improvement was that the vertical blinds in the main bedroom should be replaced - it was missing a few sections creating a gap at one end, plus this style of blind doesn’t adequately block the light from the nearby street lighting at night.

  • "We enjoyed our short stay, but sadly had to cut our time there due to a family bereavement."

Did not really have enough time to explore the area.

  • "I stayed at 2 Beach cottage for 2 weeks and I loved every minute of it, it has everything needed for a wonderful stay."

My only suggestion would be perhaps a little clothes airer to dry washing inside (if raining) and somewhere to hook the outside washing line. I don't usually do washing while away but stayed longer than expected to be with my daughter so used the washing machine lots. But the cottage itself is stunning, close to everything and only 15 minutes drive to Plymouth city centre. We will definitely be coming back

  • "House was spotlessly clean."

Bed was comfortable. House was well equipped and television had i Player etc. Good location as south west coast path either side of house. Mount Batten ferry over to centre of Plymouth only one mile away. Parking was on street but very busy but we found we could park in Barton Road across the park with no restrictions and could see the car from house. Must be safe area as a Bentley was parked there all week!

After an 8 hour journey there wasn’t a pint of milk in the fridge!!

  • "We had a lovely stay - firstly the view from the balcony was amazing, never got tired of sitting in the evening sun and watching the sun go down."

Beautiful house, small, but just big enough for the two of us and our 9 year old daughter. Location was great, a short walk from Mount Batten where you can get a boat to Plymouth. Great also for exploring the beautiful Devon beaches. There are a few nice coffee shops close by and a local pub - pretty much everything we needed. Would highly recommend. The lake location is perfect if you enjoy paddle boarding!

  • "We were really happy with the property and location."

Very pleasant on the balcony when the tide is in and a great base for the beaches and sights in the area.

  • "Lovely house which was modern, well equipped and clean, quiet and overlooking the lake."

Everything we needed was provided . Although we were aware of the location we found that it was further away from places we had planned to visit. Each day we had to use the car to get to places of interest. We only found one route where we could go for a walk from the property.

  • "Being used to going abroad on our holidays, this was a change for us to holiday in the UK."

My wife found this little gem on your website and without hesitation booked. We needn’t have been concerned, we had an amazing time in this beautiful cottage. It was an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, and we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the area is. We had such a great time that we are definitely going to book again.
