Cosy Cottage

We had a lovely week at Cosy Cottage.

Down a country lane so very quiet but close to the village for shops and pub. The cottage had all the facilities you would need and a comfy bed. Ideal location to explore Cornwall, we went as far as St Ives which is just over 1 hour away. Would definitely stay again next time in Cornwall.

The water from their own borehole was the best I’ve tasted and made a lovely cup of tea. The cottage is situated in an ideal location to visit many places in Cornwall.

Arrived at the cottage and greeted by the owners, who were very knowledgeable about the local area.

The cottage is indeed 'cosy' - quite small but perfectly adequate for 2 people. Very quiet area but ideally positioned for the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. 1 warning, however....don't go to the local pub for food! Not the best. Beer was nice though.

Lovely place.

Well maintained and comfortable and with added cover for car makes this the ideal location to explore Cornwall. Owners always helpful and there if needed. Nice quiet location. This is our second time there and maybe a third visit next year .

Lovely little Cottage, very clean and cosy and we arrived to a pint of milk in the fridge, very much appreciated!

Very peaceful even tho a train track has a 300 yards away, could barely hear it! powerful shower and very comfy bed. Cottage had everything we need for our stay. Karen and Barry were very helpful and we would definitely recommend and possibly stay again if we decide to go back down to Cornwall

The owners were very informative & helpful. The cottage was clean & comfortable. Lovely shower room. Nice Bedroom with Coay Lounge. Somewhere to sit outside with 2 chairs & a table with parasol if needed. Very peaceful location with lovely walks down the Lanes. Spar shop & post office with en walking distance if required. A lovely little cottage, felt very rural but not far from main roads and shops.

A Spar store only 10 minute walk away. Dobwalls is well placed as a base to visit most of Cornwall. Very quiet and peaceful. Host Karen was friendly and helpful. It gave us everything we needed, we very much enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here for a fortnight and the cottage is small but comfortable and well appointed.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the very narrow lane leading to the property but there is very little traffic and we only met 3 or 4 vehicles in the 2 weeks.

Lovely little cottage.

It had everything we needed for our stay with a nice outside space. Good covered area to park car. Met the owners who were very friendly and sorted out the issue with the water in no time. Maybe larger bath sheet would be the only improvement I would like. On our list of a place we will return to.

The hosts were fabulous, kind and thoughtful.

They printed bus timetables , provided me with extra equipment , and gave me a general overview of the surrounding area . The cottage is aptly named and once I got used to that aspect it was a great place to stay. Narrow lane was also manageable even for me. Buses though not reliable. If only the weather could have been better. Cottage Clean and had everything you would need for the duration.

The cottage is in a very central location.

It is very easy to get to the main roads to get to all the Cornish attractions. The cottage is well maintained and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would recommend highly.

What an absolute gem of a cottage perfect for couples everything you need clean comfortable and what can I say about Karen and Barry but wonderful , helpful people I can highly recommend cosy cottage

Enjoyed a great week in Cosy Cottage.

Feels in the middle of nowhere , so quiet, Yet only short distance from Looe, Polperro and Fowey . North coast also accessible. Lane is narrow ,but I only passed one car all week . The walk in shower is particularly good.

We had a great stay at cosy cottage everything we needed easy to get around Cornwall if you like peace and quiet this is the place Karen and Roger were about and very helpful friendly people thank you Karen and Roger Lesley and Tony

Cosy Cottage is a compact and comfortable property in a pleasant rural setting.

It is clean and well maintained to a high standard by caring owners. There are good transport links for exploring Cornwall by car and public transport. Thank you to Karen and Barry for being good hosts!

We loved everything about the cottage and it is great location for touring.

Only draw back the access lane. Being nearly 80 I found it a bit daunting as no real passing places.

Great little cottage in a fantastic location ideal for exploring both north and south coasts.

A lovely cottage with plenty of space for 2 people, well maintained and a comfortable bed.

A nice quiet location if you want some peace and quiet after exploring, 10min walk to the bus stop or short drive to Liskeard Station. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

A lovely little barn conversion cottage truly “Cosy” The king size bed is extremely comfortable and the shower excellent.

Plenty of hot water and an added bonus of a heated towel rail. Welcome gifts of milk, coffee and tea on arrival together with an excellent bottle of wine. Very friendly hosts. Cars have own parking space under cover and cottage has sitting area outside. Very quiet and train noise negligible.

We had a really lovely time at Cosy cottage.

For the dutch "klein maar fijn"! Situated in a quiet surrounding, lots of stars at night, and everything you needed was there. Nice owners ready to help if you need it. Dobwalls is in a central part of Cornwall so lots of things to do and see. Warm weather? Trebarwith beach near Tintagel is the most beautiful beach we ever went to. Not so nice weather, visit Lanhydrock housen in Bodmin or the Royal Cornwall museum in Truro. Never a dull moment. Afterwards go back to Cosy cottage and relax :).

Enjoyed a week in June at Cosy Cottage.

But we did pick a wet week! Cottage is clean, warm, small but adequate. It was as we expected for the reasonable price and we were not disappointed. Lovely quite position but not miles from anywhere. Good local shop but I would not like to walk to. needed the car. Karen and Barry, (the owners) are a nice friendly couple who could not do enough for you. Karen even came out in a pouring rain storm to get the key as we left so we would not get wet. Thanks Karen. Steve and Carole Chandler.

I had a wonderful time at Cosy Cottage.

Although delightfully secluded, it was a great base to visit and explore the beauties of Cornwall. The owners were friendly and helpful, and Daisy and Maisie were available for scritches and purrs when wanted!

Fantastic relaxing place to stay.

Read books and went out walking. Everything high quality. Superb shower. Property is down a narrow lane but not a problem. Bottle of wine and milk in fridge on arrival. Can just about hear trains. Pub and shop about 15 min stroll. Liskeard 8 min drive for morrisons, aldi , eating out etc. Plenty of places to visit and walks to do. Would definitely revisit if it wasn't 8 hours away.

Owners were very friendly.

There was everything in the cottage that you would need during your stay. The travelling instructions owners emailed were excellent and you couldn't possibly get lost. There is a short single track lane that you go down to arrive at the cottage. There was no noise from the railway nearby. I didn't give full marks for 'Comfort' as for us the settee was too low down and my husband was unable to get up from the seat so he brought in a directors chair we had in the car, however for other people this probably wouldn't be a problem. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely little cottage in a great location, ideal for exploring the many seaside towns ans villages.

Had everything needed for a weeks stay and the garden area was peaceful and very pleasant. The cottage was really clean- the only thing I would mention is there were a few spider webs in the bedroom light shades- although it is expected to some extent: being in the countryside. I hate spiders and probably noticed more than most would- otherwise clean. Would recommend king size bed for comfort. Lovely friendly owners and although the cottage is close to the owners home there is a good degree of privacy- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have stayed longer had it not been booked up.

The cottage was very comfortable,it had everything that you need,it was very clean and Karen and Barry were very friendly and helpful and if we didn't have the puppies we would certainly go back

We were very disappointed with this cottage, cosy isn’t the term we would use but like a little box.

On entering you could smell the damp but tried to ignore it. The first evening went to bed and the springs of the mattress were sticking through so had to sleep on the top of quilt to get small amount of sleep. Karen the host gave us a topper after complaining but even that wasn’t enough as could still feel them. The kitchen part was awful, no work space so couldn’t prepare meal so ended up eating out while we were there. The living part was just a settee which again was very uncomfortable with a tv in front of you, very claustrophobic. We left after a few days as did not feel at all comfortable and could not put up with it any longer. Can not recommend this Cosy Cottage at all.

We found the sofa too soft and laid back.

We put the scatter cushions on the dining chairs to be comfortable.

Cosy Cottage, cosy by name and cosy by nature.

A wonderful cottage, everything that you could ever expect and more. A beautiful garden to sit out and have meals (the weather was perfect) with the gentle trickle of water from the water ball fountain. A really idyllic place. Everything inside to suit your requirements, fridge, cooker, saucepans etc all looked new. The owner, Barry, was extremely helpful and again anything you wanted you just had to ask (not that I had any need to) only a few directions, but there was a manual in the cottage with a considerable lot of information in it. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful cottage.

From the great welcome of our hosts Harry and Karen to our 5am departure we enjoyed every moment of our stay at Cosy Cottage.

Superb weather was a real bonus. This is a very good base to explore Cornwall by car or train. We enjoyed a day trip by train from Liskeard to St Ives. Plenty of National Trust properties - houses, gardens and beaches to visit, don't miss Lanhydrock!

The Cottage is small but delightful.

It is fine for two people, but is VERY compact! The Two cats(Maisie andDaisy).... and the owners, made us most welcome.
