  • "Small but comfortable, clean and tastefully refurbished; well equipped and ideally located for walking access to the town and its facilities."

    The only one negative is parking, but this is a general issue in Bridport and there is close access to a couple of car parks if unable to find a space in the neighbouring streets. Happy to use again when we next revisit the town and area.

  • "A smaller Saucepan would be a positive addition."

  • "We had a lovely holiday at Nr 6."

    Nice welcome pack and a cosy space for two, with pretty much all you needed. Location close to town bars, cafes etc was excellent and a handy fair priced car park within 5 minutes. Thought the garden access was perilous for an oldie, but we just didn’t use it so no worries.

  • "We had a lovely stay here."

    It’s a beautiful, quiet terraced house in a great location, just a short walk into Bridport with its great choice of restaurants and pubs. It’s also a perfect base for exploring some of the incredible sights along the Jurassic Coast, including Lyme Regis and Durdle Door. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the lovely welcome pack and the thoughtful touches like tea, coffee and milk being ready for us when we arrived. We’d definitely stay here again!

  • "The cottage fulfilled all our expectations and more."

    It was clean and tidy, with quality fixtures and fittings. The location is idea for exploring Bridport, with East Street (the main street) just five minutes’ walk away. If you like pubs, Bridport is the place with plenty, and the nearest, The Tiger, just 100 or so yards walk. In short, it was a week well spent, and the cottage made it.

  • "No 6 is a lovely small cottage that's only a two minute walk from the high street."

    We really enjoyed the stay and the generosity of the hosts and facilities. The kitchen and shower room are beautifully equipped, while the bedroom is simply lovely and a good size. Two minor criticisms. The sitting room is also a good size but the sofa is tiny – comfortable but too small. The garden is private and wonderful but has to be accessed via the crumbling steps next door – not easy. Overall though, we'd definitely stay again and will always remember our mini honeymoon (we'd got married earlier on in the first day of our stay) with happy love.

The steps to the garden are detailed in the write up and make this cottage charming and unique.   • "We love Bridport so we knew wed like staying here again."

    However the accommodation was better than a hotel as you have freedom to relax more. Tabitha has done a wonderful jo of renovating this delightful cottage and the little touches, like a wonderful, well thought out welcome pack was a treat. The stairs to upstairs could be a challenge for those with poor mobility but not impossible. I loved the garden and what a pity not to have a small lift up there as John couldnt appreciate it. This will definitely be on our go to list for the future. Its charming!!!

    I love Bridport too and when myself and my husband found this little rundown gem we knew we had to have it. So pleased you enjoyed staying at No6 it has a charm as you so rightly say.   • "I LOVED this place."

    It was so perfect for me and my dog. Really clean gorgeous space, well equipped with everything you could need. Everything was up to date and fresh excellently maintained. I slept great in the very comfy bed, there was loads of space for my things as well as being well equipped with everything I could possibly need (especially in the kitchen, I didn't even use everything) I loved the garden as well although I stayed during the heat wave and it just felt safer to keep my dog inside which I managed to keep cool, then when it was cooler outside I went to a beach. Excellent location being so close to the local shops, supermarkets and also very close drive to the local beaches. I honestly cannot think of anything to fault it. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay to celebrate my birthday

  • "We would highly recommend No 6."

    It's spotless, with everything you need and a very generous Welcome Pack. The garden is perfect to sit in and so quiet, with a friendly robin. It's a short walk to the centre with lots of independent shops, cafes and people are so friendly. We took our dog and there are walks from the door. The owners have worked hard to make sure this cottage is perfect. Thank you

  • "What an excellent stay we had at number 6!"

    ! It's a lovely quiet terrace cottage, full of with character with modern appliances and had pretty much everything that you need for a comfortable couples based stay. A really great welcome pack awaited us on our arrival too, courtesy of Tabitha and George and their house folder with guidance and recommendations was spot on for quickly getting to know the house and the area, with instructions/guidance and recommendations. Our top visits for food and drink whilst there in the stunning weather that we were fortunate to have were Rise in West Bay, Symondsbury Estate Cafe and Estate and top of the tree, Bridport's The Bridge House Hotel, which is absolutely superb! Emma Jane is a delightful host! I really can't recommend No 6 highly enough ...it's a brilliant base in a great part of Dorset and it was truly a 'home away from home'.

Recently refurbished throughout to an exceptional standard, the cottage is finished with plenty of thoughtful touches and makes a wonderful choice for a romantic escape to Dorset. The long, wide streets and alleyways between the houses were once where the flax strands were twisted into rope, while today those streets are filled with an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns. Bridport’s market is regularly featured on the River Cottage TV programme. 2 miles south of Bridport is the dramatic Jurassic coast at West Bay, now a World Heritage Site, home to the backdrop for TV's Harbour Lights and the coastal setting for popular Broadchurch, whilst the picturesque resort of Lyme Regis is within 10 miles.
