Description
Tudor Rose is an inviting house in Weymouth, Dorset, offering private driveway parking, a lawned garden, and flexible spaces for families or friends seeking a coastal base.
Step inside to find the ground-floor king size bedroom, ideal for those who prefer to stay on one level, along with a handy ground-floor shower room where you can freshen up after a day on the sand.
Move through to the kitchen, where you can prepare simple suppers and picnic spreads, before gathering in the living/dining area to share meals, plan your days, or unwind together.
The conservatory extends this sociable space, providing a light-filled spot to sit with a book or watch the garden as the day drifts by, while doors lead directly out to the lawn and patio for a relaxed time in the fresh air.
Upstairs, a king size bedroom with its own en-suite walk-in shower room gives an added sense of privacy, joined by a twin bedroom and another shower room, offering plenty of choice for mixed groups.
Gas central heating keeps the house warm throughout the year, and with two well-behaved pets welcome, the whole household can join the adventure.
Outside, the garden invites slow breakfasts on the patio and easy evenings chatting over drinks as the sky changes colour.
With a shop and pub just 0.2 miles away, daily essentials and simple meals out are within walking distance, while the beach, only 0.4 miles from the door, promises hours of seaside fun.
Weymouth itself offers plenty to fill your days, starting with its golden beach backed by the sweeping Georgian seafront.
Stroll along the historic harbour, where fishing boats bob beside colourful cafés, or wander over to Nothe Gardens and the Victorian Nothe Fort, a favourite with families for its tunnels and coastal views.
The town centre is home to Brewer’s Quay, independent shops, and welcoming eateries, while the RSPB Radipole Lake Reserve provides a relaxing waterside walk just moments from the bustle.
A little further afield, venture to Portland to discover the iconic Portland Bill Lighthouse, the rugged cliffs of the East Weares, and the heritage of Tout Quarry Sculpture Park.
Head west to Abbotsbury to explore Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, the Swannery, and the scenic South West Coast Path.
Alternatively, make your way to Dorchester, where the Dinosaur Museum, The Keep Military Museum, and Poundbury’s shops and cafés offer varied, family-friendly outings.
Whatever your plan Tudor Rose offers a well-placed base for an enjoyable coastal escape.

What guests are saying
Stayed during October half term, initially nervous as it was a new listing when we booked.
But our worries melted away as the good reviews poured in and they are definitely deserved. The home is very cosy, in a peaceful location; only a short drive or bus ride to the town centre and esplanade, and even shorter walk to Lodmoor park. There is everything you need during all weather in the home, there were plenty of games for dark, stormy nights; and beach stuff incl body board and buckets/spades for fine days. Well appointed with all you'd need incl the odds and ends you don't want to have to take like: dishwasher tablets, washing tablets/fabric softener, loo roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid and hand soap. Loads of storage incl empty cupboards for you to put your own food (no rearranging the pots and pans to put your cereal away!). They have an enormous spice jar box, with a good choice of herbs & spices; plus a shelf with your basic condiments too. The heating was very warm and the beds are comfy. The shower is brilliant and much appreciated after a stroll on the beach in autumn! If bringing dogs, there's a million poo bags, bowls, beach stake/long line, some toys etc so you can travel light. There are outside lights by the doors if needed too, with a good sized garden. Near Lidl, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and B&M so all price ranges for your food shop (there is a Tesco approx 10mins up the road towards Dorchester too). We had a lovely time, and the owner sent us a welcome text too so if you needed anything/an emergency you could contact them directly during your stay. Would definitely stay again, thank you Steph and Karl.
Very clean on arrival and spacious.
Away from crowds but very near amenities. Everything you may need is supplied Chocolates and biscuits were a nice touch. The nautical theme is very relaxing and brings the sea nearer. Host contacted us after arrival to check all was ok and to contact her should we need anything. The conservatory did not appear to be heated, but we were there early Autumn so possibly may be added later. Only slight disappointment, towels a little small. We would highly recommend this stay, very relaxing. We booked straightaway to return next year.
Very nice place to stay, would recommend.
