  • "This cottage is just perfect."

The owners have thought of everything and it is just right for two. The decor and fittings are all to a very high standard. The garden is a suntrap and great for relaxing. The location itself makes a great base for getting about. We have stayed twice and will definitely be back. Wonderful!

  • "WOW! This cottage is just gorgeous."

Very well appointed, extremely comfortable and upon arrival it was absolutely spotless. Nice welcome pack too (thank you). I can't fault it. The parking space is, as the listing says, tight but part of the fun was seeing if I could get my Yeti into a space that was Yeti plus 6" first time. If you're thinking about booking this cottage; think no more, just book it! You won't regret it. The village itself is beautiful and surprisingly quiet and the natives are very friendly :)

We couldn't have wished for a better cottage to stay at this Easter weekend. Fabulous hospitality from the Hosts, Wonderful village location with easy access to all the tourist spots. Immaculate cottage packed with everything you could wish for. Totally blown away with the level of detail. We will certainly stay again and will be recommending this cottage to all our friends and family.

  • "The cottage is lovely."

Everything you need is there and all is pristine. We did have a slight problem with the shower. The temp gauge was very stiff. The location is good. The parking although a little tight was fine for our Fiesta. All in all a wonderful stay.

There was a folder that was very informative about places to visit , eat out , local doctors and vets etc plus usage instructions for the appliances . Exceptionally clean and very well located for exploring the beautiful countryside and coast too . We loved our stay here and will definitely be coming again . Highly recommended

  • "What A lovely holiday home."

It was perfect for our winter break, with all facilities high spec and immaculate. We certainly enjoyed the welcome pack, in particular the lemon drizzle cake enjoyed with the complimentary wine! There was no issue parking,:we have a fairly big car and just loaded tge car up in front of tge cottage. There are plenty of local walks and the local shop is well stocked. A real treat for us was the local pub The Greyhound; the ‘locals’ were so friendly amusing us with stories about the village as well as useful information.. We will definitely return!

  • "The cottage was ok, but was very disappointed about the promised parking - the space and access to park was extremely tight because of the small parking space and narrow lane outside - probably possible for a Fiesta-type, maybe possible for a Focus-type with great care and difficulty, impossible for ours (Passat) ."

.. of 13 comments in the guest book this year, 6 were critical of the parking ...nothing on the website suggested there would be any difficulty, and the photographs of the drive are out of date and misleading (the neighbour has erected a fence alongside the drive, adding to the problems) - cottage information definitely needs updating.

  • "Cosynook Cottage is absolutely fabulous and aptly named."

The interior has been refurbished to an extremely high quality and loved the tartan / country theme down stairs. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and you felt like you were in your own little haven with plenty of walks on the doorstep. Would also like to mention about the parking - several comments below have said it’s not suitable for their vehicles- we didn’t struggle at all and managed to park our medium sized saloon on the parking space every day, we are sure you would even be able to fit a small 4x4 their too, so please don’t let that put you off! We would love to come back to cosynook very soon

  • "Loved the cottage, it was sparklingly clean and well appointed."

The quality of fittings and fixtures was superb. It was obvious that a great deal of time and thought had gone into the furnishing of Cosynook. We are used to the high standard of Holiday Property Bond accommodation so we were delighted that this cottage equaled that standard.

  • "Clean modern well appointed Holiday cottage."

Owners have spent time and money on a recent update. Parking adjacent to the cottage is tight but is not suitable for large vehicles! Minor criticism kitchen cutlery is difficult to clean due to bonded surfaces type design also the addition of basic butter/dinner knifes in addition to the steak knifes supplied would be an improvement. May return at some point but only out of peak season.
