  • "A beautiful property."

We had a fantastic multi- generational stay. Many thanks

  • "The house is a real home-from-home and we loved staying there, thank you!"

Really peaceful and remote which is exactly what we were after. The kitchen was well supplied and the living room spacious and comfortable with everything we could need. Every room was spotlessly clean. There was a lot of rain before we arrived, and we had three days of non-stop rain whilst there (which didn't bother us as we stayed in one day and found enough under cover places to go in Lyme Regis that we could spend time outside even in the rain) - this meant the bedrooms/bed linen felt damp on the first night. After we sorted out how to put the heating on, this improved and wasn't an issue. We would suggest that if the property is empty for a while and it's been wet that it is aired/heated before guests arrive. We look forward to staying again!

    G. dishwasher, freezer, washing machine, good quality crockery and cutlery. Fully enclosed garden very suitable for dogs. Very peaceful location.

  • "A well equipped cottage in a beautiful quiet location."

It really suited our needs with 5 of us and our dog. The two bathrooms, fully enclosed garden and parking facilities were important to us. It was just a short drive to the coast or to places to walk the dog such as Lambeth Castle or Trinity Hill where you can also visit the River Cottage Kitchen. Thanks Again.

  • "We had a fantastic week at East Barn."

The property is spacious and extremely well-equipped. It was very clean throughout and all fixtures and fittings were in great condition. The setting is idyllic - so peaceful and calm and worth the drive through the narrow country lanes. Not a negative but a point to be aware of - the twin room is more suited to children but adults can still stay comfortably in it. The booking process was smooth and without problems. Lyme Bay staff are very friendly and polite. We would highly recommend the property.

  • "The property is located in a quiet, rural setting neighbouring a working dairy farm."

It was fascinating to see the cows coming and going for milking. There was no noise or mess to deal with even though the farm is quite close. Once off the main road the lanes to access East Barn are mainly single track. There are some interesting places to visit which are not far to access by car. East Barn is a lovely property with a drive for parking, a fenced, grassy area for a garden and a concrete patio. Inside all 3 bedrooms are downstairs with a family bathroom, utility room which all have good quality, comfortable furnishings, fittings and appliances. Upstairs is a galley kitchen, large, light, airy lounge and dining area and an extra shower room with WC & hand basin. The furnishings, fittings and appliances are all of good quality and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with all we needed for the week. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 dogs and had a lovely time staying at East Barn which made our holiday very special. The cottage was very calming and easy to relax in and the views were superb. One of the best places I have had the pleasure to stay in when renting a cottage.

  • "This was a great place to stay and so close to everything."

Really clean and easy to get comfortable in. I loved the isolation, views and on a rainy day there were plenty of DVD's to watch. Dog loved the space too and I loved the fact that all I could hear was the wind and the birds. A great get away from urban life.

  • "The cottage was so welcoming and cosy."

We had to change a light bulb in the bedroom as it wasn't working and discovered it was broken and the bathroom lock upstairs didn't seem to work, but it was no big deal, we just used a tie on the door to let others know it was in use. The kitchen was well stocked with plates/pans etc but there was no salt left in the grinder and I'd not thought to bring any

Thank you for your kind comments. We will take a look at the small maintenance issues mentioned. We hope you had a wonderful holiday. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "You can't take your home on holiday with you, so it's great when you arrive somewhere that is probably the closest thing to it."

Well decorated, very well furnished and everything worked. Also, for once, a properly equipped kitchen with plenty of quality crockery, glasses etc. We recognised the property immediately because the online description was very accurate. The garden was immaculate, but it was a nice surprise to come back after a day out and find the grass had been mowed again. Excellent property in a great location. We would definitely love to return.

The owners have recently made lots of improvements at the property, so it is great to hear that these are so well received. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "A lovely barn tucked away ."

The upstairs with the views were lovely. The facilities were also good. Our only concern was the double bed as the mattress was not that comfortable and the quilt only reached to the edge of the bed meaning every time you turned over somebody was without covers. That was our only problem that we encountered.
