  • "Wonderful location, perfect for what we needed with two small kids and a dog."

Down stairs felt a damp but only to be expected from a basement conversation. Shame the courtyard wasn’t adapted to be used. Overall very happy. And would stay again. One last thing the door into the front room, the handle wasn’t working and the company called to to have it sorted. Very efficient and hasn’t even raised the problem.

Thank you for your feedback and helpful comments. So lovely to hear you enjoyed and would stay again. Although it is quiet and dark, the downstairs room does not have a "through-draft" and can sometimes retain moisture. Although there is a specialist dry lining in the walls, the owner is one step ahead and has provided a dehumidifier for this room for guests to use as they please. The housekeeping team have this on throughout the changeover, ready for guest arrival so should you choose not to use it during your stay, there should be no issue. The courtyard is the owner's next project so while it is not advertised with the property, it is a great place to hang swimming stuff after a day at the beach. Very happy to hear the maintenance team resolved the lock issue quickly for you. Thank you again and very much hope to welcome you back to Dorset soon. The Lyme Bay Team. Property Owner

Great location very nice initially but definitely damp issues to the basement bedroom definite fire risk situation not possible to open the front door from inside the house no lock mechanism the inner front door latch stuck when shut damaged handle needed a screwdriver to open to access the lobby area Used back door throughout however kitchen being the main fire risk escape through the kitchen could have been extremely compromised front door left unlocked overnight 9 month baby inside the house Rear garden yard very poor The place has the making of a wonderful accommodation but not very well maintained in some areas

  • "Stayed here early July 2024 with my elderly parents, perfect accommodation for those with mobility issues; ground floor main bedroom, space for mobility scooter either in the entrance way or around the back, enough furniture etc to hold onto whilst walking around the apartment, perfect bed height, easy bathroom access."

...a very comfortable stay and a short walk to restaurants, cafés, beach etc. In all, a lovely stay. We had everything we needed, very well equipped, everything seems like new and well maintained. It's also deceptively quiet, we all slept really well. Will definitely be back

  • "A recent trip to London came with an unplanned visit to the seaside at Lyme Regis."

While this 4 day stay was not in my original plan, it was certainly the highlight. My accommodations at 16 Church Street provided everything necessary to enjoy this beautiful location. A lovely, modern kitchen and bathroom (great shower!), all clean, fresh and inviting. I slept in the lower level bedroom, two twin beds, peacefully and in fine, fresh linens. I was particularly very pleased with the location which was easily accessible to all that Lyme Regis has to offer. A short walk to the seaside allowed us to carry our picnic for a spectacular sunset al fresco dinner at the sea wall. Do watch out for those hungry seagulls! I would highly recommend this property and look forward to a future return
