  • "Please check waste collection dates."

Info in property totally incorrect. Next recycling collection according to council website is this Monday and bin is full. Waste bin was put out last Monday. Dining chairs seat covers badly need replacing.

  • "The property description for the house should state that it is is semi property with the flat below and therefore shared access and parking."

The description and photos currently lead you to believe you are renting a detached property. The property is starting to look a little tired, carpets, dining chairs, damp patches and cracks in the wall. The property is well equipped in the kitchen, living area and there are wardrobes and drawers in the bedrooms - however they could benefit from towel rails to dry damp towels.

  • "Very pleased with the house."

It was exactly as described. The reason we chose this house was the space in the house and off road parking.

  • "Overall lovely house and enjoyed our stay."

Very generous welcome pack with tea, coffee and fruit juice, sweet and savoury biscuits and milk.Lovely views from living room. Very clean and mainly well maintained. Good selection of games, books etc. Kitchen quite small for 8 but very well equipped with dishes, cutlery etc. Could have done with extra dishcloths and black bags. Very hilly area so could prove challenge if less mobile or pushing buggy. But easily walked into village .This applies to Lyme Regis in general. Very busy as booked in school holiday. Best parking near Cobb as smaller car parks off main street get very full. Lots of coffee shops , clothes shops and souvenir shops and a Tesco but no chemist! Would visit again out of school holiday times

  • "We had a wonderful stay in Greystones."

The house was spacious, light and airy with comfortable, modern furnishings and well equipped for an extended stay. The kitchen feels a little dated but is still clean, functional and well equipped. Beds were very good and there was plenty of bedroom storage. The location of the property is on a hill, quite a steep one coming up from the town. The views from the back of the house are great, saw the most amazing sunrise over the sea.

We loved the games and the dinosaurs who live there! Very well equipped kitchen and great having hand soap provided in every bathroom. Comfy beds. Great location and wonderful views of the sea and (later) the moon over the bay. Beautiful.

  • "Perfect holiday home for us, would definitely recommend."

4 good sized bedrooms - one on the ground floor with bathroom alongside, which was great for grandad. Views from the sitting room window were spectacular. Lyme Regis is a fantastic holiday destination with lots to enjoy. It is quite hilly/steep with some narrow roads and pavements, which might be challenging for some. Our grandad was 87 and managed really well, and will go home a little fitter!

Good views out over the bay. Ten minute walk downhill into the town centre. Slight hitch in that the keys weren't at the property when we arrived but that was soon sorted.

The property

Greystones is an elegant 4 bedroom property that forms the main part of a characterful 1920s stone fronted house, set in a peaceful residential road just a five minute stroll from the shoreline and the vibrant heart of Lyme Regis.

With lovely views across the town and towards the stunning Jurassic coastline, it offers an inviting base for families or groups seeking a classic, memory making seaside escape. Thoughtfully prepared for guests, the home includes the convenience of off road parking for up to 3 cars and a welcoming arrival pack with milk, tea, and a selection of locally sourced Dorset treats - setting the tone for a relaxing break from the moment you arrive. Inside, the spacious sitting/dining room forms the social hub of the house.

Large windows draw in wonderful natural light and frame the view over the town to the coastline beyond, while comfortable leather sofas invite you to unwind after a day by the sea.

The generous dining area is perfect for enjoying leisurely meals, and the well equipped kitchen provides everything needed to prepare dishes for the group. The property offers four beautifully presented bedrooms.

On the ground floor, a charming king size room with an ornamental fireplace and subtle coastal touches makes for a restful retreat.

Upstairs, a second king size bedroom enjoys far reaching views across Lyme Regis, complemented by stylish décor and practical storage.

Two additional twin rooms, each featuring zip link beds, can be arranged as king size rooms upon request, offering excellent flexibility for families or groups. A contemporary ground floor shower room and a modern family bathroom give guests the option of an invigorating morning shower or a long, soothing soak after exploring the coastline. Outside, a peaceful lawned area offers a perfect spot for morning coffee before heading out to enjoy the very best of Lyme Regis. Here, the beaches are the true stars of the town, and each brings its own charm.

The soft, gently shelving sandy beach - ideal for paddling, swimming, and building sandcastles - is just a short walk away and is wonderfully family friendly.

Wander further and you’ll find Monmouth Beach, a wilder, more atmospheric stretch set beneath dramatic cliffs where fossil hunters and nature lovers can spend hours exploring the ancient geology of the Jurassic Coast.

The historic Cobb Harbour, with its sweeping stone curve, colourful boats, and breathtaking views back across the shoreline, offers one of the most iconic seaside scenes in England.

Strolling along the top of the Cobb or watching the activity below is a highlight of any visit. Beyond the water’s edge, Lyme Regis is full of charm, from independent shops and artisan crafts to excellent eateries, the aquarium, museums, and the beautifully landscaped Langmoor and Lister Gardens. Combining coastal views and unbeatable access to the beaches and harbour, this delightful home offers the perfect setting for unforgettable stays on the Jurassic Coast
