What guests are saying
The house was very spacious and clean.
Beds were very comfortable. Lovely large on suite to two bedrooms. The location was very quiet although, only 10minutes stroll to the town and beach. For a 4 star rating it was disappointing that there were no cooking essentials normally found in a 4 star holiday home. Although, the welcome pack was very much appreciated. Also, very poor information regarding recycling, we ended up having to put nearly all our waste in the household refuse bin. No food waste bin which I noticed other neighbours had on driveway. Surely recycling should be a priority in a holiday home.
Good position, clean and enough seating for everyone.
Instead of 6 TV's would have preferred a coffee machine. Good quality curtains in bedrooms on inadequate fittings made them difficult to open and close. No fan or window in front bedroom en suite meant that the bathroom was slightly musty. Have looked at this property for next year. Rental cost has increased by over 50% - massively overpriced!
The first thing to say is that this is a fantastic property in a great location, and we would definitely stay here again.
Overall, we were really impressed, but there are a few areas where improvements could be made. The main issue was the cleaning. While the property was generally clean and tidy, there were quite a few cobwebs, particularly behind the hallway window blind, where it looked as though the blind hadn’t been lifted to clean for some time. I removed a large amount myself, which wasn’t very pleasant. There were also cobwebs above the curtains in the bedrooms, and some of the light fittings were extremely dusty. The top rack of the dishwasher was also broken. On our first evening it came away in my hands while I was unloading it, causing a glass to fall and smash. Thankfully only one glass broke, but it was an inconvenience to clear up. I’ve reported it, but it should ideally have been picked up by either previous guests or the changeover team before our arrival. During our stay, my son, who is 6ft 3in, accidentally hit his head on the low light fitting at the top of the stairs, which caused one of the glass shades to break. We reported it immediately, and maintenance arrived within an hour to remove the damaged shade. We were really impressed by how quickly and professionally this was dealt with. The garden is a really nice space and has a lot of potential, but it would benefit from a bit more comfort and usability. A couple of loungers to sit on, along with a parasol on the gravel end of the garden, would be a really nice addition and would make it much more enjoyable for relaxing outside. Despite these minor issues, this is a lovely property in an excellent location. The only thing worth noting for future guests is that the walk back from the town involves quite a steep hill, so it’s something to bear in mind if anyone in your group has mobility issues. Other than that, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would happily stay here again.
