  • "Good morning, My Mum and I have just returned from yet another lovely stay in “Sea’s the Day” the apartment was exactly as described perfect location, clean warm , huge bonus to have safe private parking this was our third stay and we shall be returning."

Thank you to both the owners and Lyme Bay Holidays staff .

  • "I am unable to give feedback about the property as I didn’t travel due to my child being unwell and, more importantly, because Sykes Cottages didn’t ask the owner if I could reschedule in time."

Their dealing of the matter has been awful and their customer service is non-existent. Unfortunately Lyme Bay Holidays are likely to have lost a loyal customer as I am not willing to book with Sykes Cottages ever again. I would love the details of the owner so that I could re-book my holiday directly with them to miss out the money-grabbing, incompetent fraudsters that are Sykes Cottages.

.missing key to patio in lounge so couldn’t open..door handle to main bathroom faulty. Tv needs up dating. General maintenance in garden and entrance to building not up to usual standard. We are re-thinking future stays would be a shame if the prices go to far.

  • "The cord for the blind in the double bedroom came un-done twice during our stay, but was easily mended."

Also, the door mechanism on the bathroom door was loose and wouldnot close properly, our son fixed it with his tool-kit! They were just minor niggles that did not distract from our enjoyable stay.

We have stayed at Seas the Day twice and already booked again. The apartment is clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped.

  • "Many thanks to the sterling work of the housekeeper- we found the property very clean and tidy as before when we stayed A slightly warmer quilt other than a 4."

5 in February would have been nice but we just turned the heating up to compensate Also we seem to remember the kitchen tap dripping when we stayed a couple of years ago - maybe a new tap is required? However overall we love the secure, comfortable, quiet position of Seas the Day and had a great holiday- sadly since the takeover of Lyme Bay Holidays by Sykes we have to wait for a price reduction to suit our budget these days

Thank you for your feedback. We have asked our team to review the duvets and look at the tap. We do hope to welcome you back soon. The Lyme Bay Team. Property Owner

A lovely flat secure parking with a gated and pedestrian entrance good kitchen with eveything you need ( frying pan sticks though ) comfy beds lovely and quiet ( we slept really well ) lovely garden where you have a view of the sea bad points car got covered in pears had to go to car wash so had to swap parking places, no give enough loo roll had to go and buy some one tea towel for a week , also tele kept pixalating but we did enjoy our stay lyme regis is lovely

Thank you for your comments, it's great to hear that you enjoyed the holiday. Sorry to hear about your car being covered in pears, we can only think the trees were shaken during the recent storms. As it is a self catering holiday we only supply an initial supply of toilet rolls and one tea towel. We will take a look at the tv signal. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

When we had a problem with the broadband internet this was resolved quickly. Many thanks.

  • "Lovely stay thank you but some constructive points you might like to consider: *A sea view from communal garden is stretching it; you would have to sit at an awkward angle and even then the view is very limited."

    * Both single beds very uncomfortable * Pillows were absolutely awful but this was quickly rectified after a phone call * Hooks on bathroom and bedroom doors would be very useful * No ice trays * Shower in ensuite was virtually impossible to easily turn on as was very stiff. When I finally managed to switch on i was unable to turn off (wet hands) without the aid of a towel. This really was frustrating. Thank you for great communication. Fantastic location: stones throw from shops, restaurants and beach. Only a slight hill to contend with. My 86 yr old mum had no problems with it. Would def recommend if the above could be rectified (obvs not sea view but maybe should be removed from listing) Thank you to all the staff

Thank you for your comments which we will look into. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Fabulous property which felt very secure."

Everything was to a high spec. Plenty of plates, glasses etc. Didn’t know we had our own private access to the public gardens which was a bonus! Welcome pack was gratefully received as was washing up liquid, tea towel, hand wash etc. A couple of suggestions that would have enabled me to give a 5 star rating: all beds require better quality pillows. Also, 3 toilet rolls for a family of four over a week is a bit tight when paying over £1700!

As far as returning, it's something we would have to think about only looking at next year's prices I think it's getting a bit too expensive, but as I say seas the day is lovely accommodation and ideally situated. Thankyou. Kev.

I left a note for the cleaners written in dust. Absolutely disgusting. Looked like the bed sheets and towels had been changed but no cleaning had taken place. Pinky orange grime in the shower tray. Rank. I had to hoover and do a basic clean on our arrival. Not what I expect when I have one holiday a year and paid over £1500 for the week. I have complained but not got anywhere. Very disappointed.
