"We had a wonderful stay at Cliff Barn."
There was a lovely welcome bottle of wine so thank you to Alan and Jill. We love Dorset and Cliff Barn gave us the opportunity to visit places we have not visited before because of its brilliant location. Close enough to amenities to buy forgotten eggs but far enough away to feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere. A real treasure for an R and R break. Our Pepper really enjoyed all the local fields and beaches.

"What a fantastic little find Cliff Barn was."
Hidden away in its own grounds but not too far from anywhere. Very clean and comfortable great views. The dogs loved the little garden and watching the sheep and lambs. The owners were extremely helpful and on hand if you needed anything. If we go back to Dorsetvwevwill definitely book Cliff Barn again

Super modern bungalow in a quiet area near the coast.

Spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped
We have several breaks in the year and things are top of my list to take are ,rubber anti slip shower mat, torch,and tablecloth,but they were all provided.
Great dog walking area ,not that we have one.Just R&R for us.!

"Very nice purpose built holiday cottage."
Immaculately clean, everything looked new and shiney! Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and super cosy duvet. Would have liked bigger bath towels. Great location for exploring the area on foot or by car. Very doggy friendly. Could have done with some more information about the area, leaflets on places to visit, local walks etc. Very few extras provided, no tea or milk, dog bowls etc. Most cottages I've stayed in provide this but I take my own just in case. After a 6 hour drive I needed a brew. Although there was a nice bottle of wine! The little conservatory gets really warm and is great for muddy boots and soggy coats. Personally I'd have put a little sofa in there as it was a lovely spot to sit and look out over the fields. Luckily I was blessed with sunshine all week. But it was cold so the generous supply of logs for the log burner was much appreciated. As a bonus I was allowed to let my dog have a run about in the adjacent enclosed field which he loved. It's a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Well worth a visit.

Our dog and us, enjoyed the walk across the fields opposite Cliff Barn to Burton Bradstock beach. A superb location for reaching other coastal villages and nearby towns. The owners are friendly and caring. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend booking this property.

"Lovely cottage in a great position."
Nice and quiet makes for a relaxing holiday. Very well equipped. Rooms had plenty of space and sunny from sunrise to sunset.
Car parking space just outside cottage so easy access down a private drive.
Can highly recommend this cottage.

"We spent a week at this wonderful cottage which is in a perfect position in Burton Bradstock."
5 minutes walk to Hive Beach or 3 minutes to the Three Horseshoes pub which serves great food! Everything in the cottage was perfect, clean as a whistle and with everything you could wish for. The owners Jill and Alan are very welcoming and always on hand if anything is needed. It's a perfect little place by the sea, great walks nearby including the South West Coast Path, easy access to Bridport for shopping and close to the resorts of Lyme Regis and Weymouth too. Oh and I don't think we've ever slept so well!!

The bungalow is perfect, very clean & comfortable inside and with lovely outside seating too. The owners were very welcoming. Superb location, quiet but within easy walking distance of the village pubs & shop & also a short walk across the field to Hive beach & the beach cafe. The coastal path is very close to the property so great for walkers. We ate at both the village pubs & the beach cafe & the food was superb, useful to book at the pubs as they get busy. Burton Bradstock is very handy for visiting other places & we went to Lyme Regis, Bridport & the gardens at Abbotsbury which were beautiful. The car park on Hive beach is National Trust so free to members. Thanks Alan & Jill for a lovely stay, we will be back, Sue & Mike

"Cliff Barn is a super holiday cottage, perfectly situated 100 yards from the South West Coastal Path, and just a few minutes from the beach in one direction and the delightful village in the other."
It is really well kitted out for two (plus one dog!!) with everything you need for a relaxing week away from it all, and the small garden area ideal for relaxing or just letting the dog out last thing at night!! For a small property you had the choice of three tables to sit and read or eat or play games at, in the main open plan room, the porch area or outside. We loved being able to explore on foot so easily and even if you did want a change of scenery, there is so much nearby. The furthest we explored in a week was to Lyme Regis just 20 or so minutes away, and West Bay, Bridport and Abbotsbury are much nearer. We didn’t even need the Morrisons at Bridport as we had arranged a delivery for the day of arrival. The owners were very welcoming and often greeted us whilst pottering about in their garden next door, and had also kindly left a bottle of wine for us on arrival.
We were perhaps fortunate that the weather was a little cooler for our week, as one very small idea would be to have an umbrella in the garden to provide a bit more shade. We have rebooked already for 2024.

Lovely for the dogs. Nice watching the rabbits & the sheep in the field opposite.
Everything you need for a break away.
Very comfortable inside , large bed , recliner chairs , good size TV, , all you need is there. WestBay , Yarmouth Lyme Regis all a short drive away.. We liked it so much that while we was there we booked the smaller accommodation for next year. Village view.

"Cliff barn is perfect in every way, we have been taking our dog(s) on holiday for 39 years and we have never stayed anywhere better."
Comfortable , clean, quiet well thought out accomodation,and beautifully maintained.
Short walk to beach and Hive cafe, short walk to shop and 2 excellent pubs in the village
Lovely view across the field no noise from traffic or children, perfect relaxing week.
Such an enjoyable holiday we have
booked the neighbouring property for next year.

"This was our second time staying at Cliff Barn, Burton Bradstock and it was good being back there again."
The owners are friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is modern, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's peaceful setting is perfect for a relaxing break. It has safe private parking alongside the property, and a small enclosed garden which is mostly paved with a raised grass area. The coastal path is just a few minutes walk from the property, and Hive beach with cafe a few minutes further on, so it's a great area for walkers. The village has 2 pubs, a well stocked shop, and post office store, all are a short downhill walk away. (The climb back up the lane could be challenging for some people) All in all we love it here and thoroughly recommend Cliff Barn to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

"The minimalistic design is just right for holiday accommodation."
Everything needed for a relaxing stay is provided and the standard of cleanliness is extremely high. It is much appreciated by this recent guest and I certainly hope to stay again. The area is excellent for walkers and Burton Bradstock, just a few minutes down the hill, is a quintessential Dorset village with much of architectural interest. Many walks start here and it is great fun exploring the area without the noise of traffic and lots of people. Walking the coast path is less pleasant though, due to the high number of other walkers and an ever increasing number of ugly holiday chalets and static caravans stretching out from the beach well in to the surrounding countryside, spoiling the views. Thank goodness for the protected National Trust land!

Cliff Barn is THE best self catering accommodation we've come across during many years of self catering holidays.
Perfect for a couple it is warm exceptionally comfortable and beautifully furnished - it's the only time we've left after a week feeling the seating was as comfortable as home! Many thanks for sharing your "stress free zone" with us and we will most definitely be back.

The cottage was easy to find and spotlessly clean when we arrived. There was a bottle of wine on the table to welcome us. Alan & Jill were very friendly & helpful but unobtrusive.
The location is second to none - just a few minutes walk to the SW Coastal path with fields & Hive Beach for the dogs and a short walk in to the village with 2 dog friendly pubs.
It is also a great starting point to explore the lovely towns, villages and countryside of West Dorset.

"Our stay at Cliff Barn was really special, the accommodation and facilities were all and more than we could have asked for."
My husband Steve, me and Billy the Sprocker had such a relaxing, warm and cosy time in the bungalow. The location could not have been better with the coastal path just up the road, the Three Horseshoes pub just down the road and lovely beaches and coves just a few minutes drive away. There were plenty of places to choose from to eat out and cafes on the beach to while away the time just taking in the stunning surroundings. Ssshhhh keep it quiet! We’ll be back! Thankyou to Alan and Jill who were the perfect hosts.

"The holiday Bungalow was first class."
Had everything you would need, it was clean ,bright and every room was very good. ( bathroom,bedroom,lounge ).
The hosts Alan and Jill on site, friendly and helpful.
Outside great views over the lovely Dorset countryside.
Only few hundred metres to village and 2 miles to Bridport
Walk to top of lane ( three hundred metres from Bungalow gives you fantastic views of the sea and coast line.
All in all the place is a GEM
