Little Crabapple

Great location, quiet with easy access to surrounding area and good bus service.

All good except for 2 things - the light bulbs in bedside lamps are such low wattage it was impossible to read in bed, had to use main light. The sofa bed in the very small sitting area was very uncomfortable, suggest a proper sofa to replace it! Property only sleeps 2 people so don't really understand why there is a sofa bed anyway. Bed comfy and nice bed linen.

Sitting area and kitchen rather small, but overall very comfortable, clean and well located for exploring Purbeck.

A clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage in a great location for exploring the lovely countryside.

A great pub serving good food just a few minutes walk away. Richard was friendly and helpful. Would have given it 5 stars if we could have controlled the heating ourselves. Because we like to shower early evening the bathroom was not warm. Of course this is just a personal choice.

Beautiful well set out apartment, how ever area has little to no mobile signal and WiFi is slower then dial up Bed size should be listed as a double.

For me and partner….personally, the mattress was very uncomfortable . You can feel the springs directly… a change of mattress would make it a 5/5 Rather then 3/5

We had a lovely stay at Little Crabapple.

The property was spotless when we arrived. It was so well equipped from the range of kitchen utensils to the little touches that made all the difference.

A lovely place to stay, with great facilities and helpful owners next door.

Excellent with everything.

We left our Car on the Drive for the Holiday.It was nice to use the friendly Bus Service where I could view the scenery.The Bus stop was 200 yards from our annex.The walk to Dancing Ledge was lovely and from there we Followed the 'Priest's Way' back to Swanage.Lovely beaches at Swanage,Studland,Shell Beach and Bournemouth.The Bus uses the Chain Ferry from Shell Beach to Sandbanks and is free when on the 50 BUS which is open top for wonderful Views.The Town of Wareham has an interesting History and Museum which is free.Some nice eating places there.Our first Visit to The Isle of Purbeck and we are going to book up next year in Spring 2026.

Delightful, well laid out cottage with a comfortable bed and everything you might need.

We had a lovely week at Little Crabapple.

It was perfect for our exploring. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We'd definitely recommend for those wanting to visit Purbeck and the surrounding area. Lots of footpaths close by and you're out into the countryside within minutes.

Little Crabapple is well designed and presented, much of it is bespoke enabling the maximum storage and space. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, we loved the annexe for shoes and picnic bags. Spotlessly clean throughout, not a crumb, hair or speck of dust anywhere! Great location, so quiet and peaceful with so much to do, all within a short drive. Great location with excellent access to bus routes to Pool and Swanage.

Sofa bed settee is not comfortable. However, this is the only negative comment. The rest of the accommodation was vey good and the owners very friendly. We had a great week in Langton.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Little Crabapple.

The property and facilities were excellent and the village of Langton Matravers was a great location for getting to Swanage and Studland Bay. The village has a great, friendly pub with excellent food. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Ideal position for walks all round Purbeck.

Friendly owners , great pub and farm cafe a short distance. I had a joyous stay in beautiful landscape, seascape, air and the music of the birds along the coastal path.

Collette and Richard have created a beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean property that has everything in it you would need for your stay.

Added bonus is that you can park your vehicle on the driveway right in front of the property, so unloading/loading is very easy. This accommodation is highly recommended and we will be staying again in the future. Thank you both for providing a property that 'said what was on the tin'. Very best wishes.

This is an outstanding property, and the owners could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Fabulous little cottage - we found it just right for the two of us.

It was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed for a week's stay, and was very cosy in the evenings. The owners struck the right balance of friendliness and helpfulness, but didn't intrude, and were lovely to chat to. The only negative is that the sofa wasn't very comfortable - it was quite low. We are planning a return trip in early summer as there is a lot of scope for local walks from the cottage - we would like to stroll around the village in the evening.

The property was perfectly located to explore Studland.

It was very clean and had everything we needed. The only comment we would make is that the settee was very low and therefore uncomfortable after sitting for a short while.

A quaint little place.

It was very clean and well kept. The owners were friendly and respectful. Personally I found the bed and seating a bit uncomfortable but not enough to ruin the holiday. The only drawback for us was the access road being very uneven due to large potholes.

Loved to be at little crabapple.

It has all the comfort you need. Fully equipped kitchen, roomy bedroom an wonderful bathroom. The only thing that I didn't like was the sofa, for me personally it was too low. But my husband had no problems with that. The owners Richard and Colette were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Love to come back some day. Irene W

In a beautiful village with walks and regular public transport. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and had good information on places to visit and walks.

Little Crabapple was perfect for our stay, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated, it provided everything we needed.

We will definitely plan to stay again as there was so much to see and do in the area. Would recommend.

Lovely place to stay including the spacious bedroom and lovely extension with modern kitchen.

All beautifully presented and we hadn’t realised it is so close to the cliff paths and beautiful walks. Nice traditional pub nearby and very short drive to Swanage. Although the annexe is very private, Richard and Colette were lovely to chat to when we met them. We would definitely return and highly recommend Little Crabapple.

Accommodation is very cosy the cleanliness is first class and so warm.

However, the private road is full of puddles and potholes and I found it difficult to negotiate being older and a little unsteady.

The seating area is very uncomfortable the fridge is in a very poor position it is too low down and not a lot of space to make a meal.

This is well-equipped accommodation in a delightful village.

Everything is very clean and smartly decorated and furnished. We were comfortably warm when the weather turned a little chilly, and suspect that the living area had underfloor heating, although this is not mentioned in the description. We'd certainly recommend it. Many thanks.

My husband & I really enjoyed our stay at Little Crabapple.

The accommodation is spotlessly clean, very comfortable & very well equiped with everything you need. We love walking and there are so many great walks you can do in various directions right from the door. We appreciated also that we had a parking space. We would definitely have no hesitation at all in rebooking to go there again and would certainly recommend to others.

Little Crabapple cottage is conveniently situated near to the coast & very near the village shop, which sells newspapers as well as food.

Its also reachable by train to Wareham then a bus if you don't want to drive. The bus runs hourly between Wareham & Swanage. The cottage is spotless & comfortable, looking onto a pretty front garden. Colette & Richard are helpful & friendly hosts. Its a gem, in a beautiful countryside/coastal area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Little Crabapple.

I was on my own and it was ideal for me as I had all I needed plus was able to park on a driveway which was a real bonus. Lots to do and see nearby - look out for posters for local events plus Monkey World, RSPB Arne, and Corfe Castle all nearby. The bus was just £4 return to Swanage or Poole from a stop just around the corner. Local pub has a little shop and cafe. I would recommend the Little Crabapple to anyone wanting a little peace and quiet. Wifi was good too!

We loved the village location with lots of walks from the doorstep out to the coast and convenient for the 40 bus to Swanage/Poole.

Kitchen area quite cramped - difficult to make a good meal.

More saucepans needed and a tea strainer. Television a bit small for older eyes!

Everywhere was spotless and all of the facilities worked well. The owners left clear guidance and were very welcoming. We would love to stay here again and would have no hesitation at recommending this cottage.

The space is really well-planned and very cosy. It's great for walking (coast path is less than a mile away) and the village has a friendly pub/shop. We'll definitely return!

Fantastic.

Although I read reviews, I rarely complete them myself, but Little Crabapple has caused me to overcome my usual lethargy and put finger to keyboard. We have self-catered in the UK for 4 decades and this is the best property we have stayed at. We were not expecting too much room but were pleasantly surprised with the proportions and effective use of space and large bathroom and it exceeded my expectations. In order of importance to me are cleanliness, comfort, comprehensively equipped and location and none could be faulted. In addition to this the owners were friendly, welcoming and engaging, without ever being intrusive or negatively impacting on the relaxing break we were seeking. We had a fantastic week

Little Crabtree cottage was beautifully presented even though it’s small there is everything you needed.

The bed was so comfortable and warm. Only down side was the Wi-Fi was non existent so if you like your Wi-Fi be aware. Overall we could not fault our stay it was so relaxing and peaceful Would recommend it .
