  • "Super accommodation."

Clean, comfortable. Will be back! This was our third stay in Flat 1, Coram Towers. We absolutely LOVE Lyme Regis! Only ‘niggle’ was the fridge, which had a temperature problem and there was a lot of water gathering on the shelves. Thank you Lyme Bay Holidays!

Delighted you enjoyed another stay with us. Thank you for alerting us to the fridge issue. Property Owner

  • "Really enjoyed our stay, the property had everything we required plus more, the owner has thought about everything, and great having your own parking space The gift bag was a real treat too and very much appreciated, thank you Our only point would be to have the sensor light working fully, so it comes on at the bottom of the first lot of stairs as you get to the yard area."

We tripped twice on the 2 steps in darkness before the second sensor light came on. Otherwise it’s an excellent property to stay at

Thank you for pointing out the issue with the lights - we are sorry you were inconvenienced. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in Coram Tower. Property Owner

  • "1 Coram Tower is a really nice flat, but our stay was let down by two points."

First, the wifi speed made working from there difficult: we were only able to get 3Mbps download and 1Mbps upload speeds, which was even worse than our bad 4G signal. BT's speed estimates for the property were significantly higher, so much higher speeds should be available. The booking process has changed for the worse since last year. We've stayed with Lyme Bay Holidays 7 times now, but this time there was a lot of aggressive upselling of insurance during the booking process and when we tried to change our booking just one week after making it (and more than 6 months in advance…) we were told that we would lose our entire deposit if we did so. That left a bad feeling for us as loyal customers.

We are sorry to hear of your experience. All bookings/amendments to bookings are now managed centrally by the Reservations Team. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment beautifully kept and clean."

I know basically it's a block of flats but the stay was spoilt by other occupants slamming doors at all hours day and night. Maybe put soft closures on all doors.

  • "We have just spent the loveliest week at 1 Coram Tower!"

The accommodation is of a really high standard and we enjoyed the history of the building too. We went with our two teenage children and found the apartment spacious enough for all of us. The teenagers were pleased to find Wifi too! Parking at the apartment is a real bonus and inside the apartment there were lovely touches to make it feel homely. The location is ideal for walking into Lyme but also a good base for exploring other places along the Jurassic Coast. We especially enjoyed a trip to Durdle Door. We will definitely hope to return one day and will recommend it to our friends and family.

Thank you for your lovely review, so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "We had the most loveliest of times staying here, and I am so pleased we booked with you (we booked late and wasn't sure what we would find and now I am looking for next year to book and I'm not sure other places can beat it)."

The welcome pack was just wonderful and we had everything we needed. The car park across the road was a good send as we have an electric car and you can park there overnight for free from 6pm to 8am when it's not busy and charge your car (that bit isn't free).

  • "It's a nice property, excellent facilities, good parking, great location for exploring Lyme Regis."

Description is accurate, directions to the property are clear. We would stay here again. Some detailed feedback for the owner... The hallway cupboard door doesn't close. This is very annoying as you're walking past it all the time. The blankets over the sofas are coarse and could be replaced with something a bit softer/nicer. There was a "wet dog" smell on arrival that took us a couple of days to pin down - it's the living room curtains. Not sure when they were washed last, or if they were hung back up wet and have gone a bit fusty. I'd be tempted to replace them. They are also quite difficult to close without pulling them quite hard, and sooner or later someone will tear them. It's hard to reach the middle ones without climbing around the table so something with a pull cord at the side would be a good investment. An oval table would give better /easier access to the wooden seats at the back and might make the room feel a bit bigger. The kick board under the fridge looks like it has been kicked and could do with some minor maintenance. Controls for the towel rail and the underfloor heating in the bathroom are complicated (even with the instructions) and a lot of people won't be able to fathom them out and just won't bother, which is a shame. Tenants might be happier with just an on/off button. One of the control panels is a bit loose. Excellent labelling of sockets and switches. Electric car charging points over the road are a benefit that a lot of people are looking for and should be called out in the listing.

We're pleased that you enjoyed your holiday in Lyme. Thank you for your feedback, we will certainly ask our housekeeping and maintenance teams to investigate the points raised. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Coram Tower."

The property was lovely and clean when we arrived and the welcome hamper was greatly appreciated. All the instructions for the property were clear and easy to follow. It was an ideal place to stay for our family of four (Two adults, two kids) and the perfect base for our exploration of the local area. The location of the property was great, a 10 minute walk to the centre of town and the beach (Perhaps worth noting that the public car park opposite now includes car chargers, very useful for those with electric cars!). We will definitely be returning!

  • "What a great find 1 Coram Tower was."

Am reluctant to sing its praises too much in case it gets so booked up we won’t be able to come back, which we fully intend to do. The location for both town and beach was perfect, with the added bonus of a sensible parking spot on site (not always easy to find in Lyme Regis). The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and we felt at home instantly. We believe the bathroom was newly renovated, and was pristine. The upkeep of bathrooms in holiday lets tends to be their downfall, hopefully this one stays as great as it currently is. The welcome pack had some very tasty local treats in addition to the basics of tea, coffee and milk, and was much appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are glad you liked our new bathroom. We hope to welcome you again soon to 1 Coram Tower. Property owner Property Owner

  • "We've stayed at 1 Coram Tower a number of times now and really appreciate the recent bathroom refurbishment: the new bathroom is now up to the same high standard as the rest of the flat."

We were impressed by the way that the Lyme Bay Holidays team dealt with a query that we had about unlocking one of the windows in the flat. Unlike our previous stays, we were only provided with a single key and the team weren't able to provide a second key. This limited the ability of our group to split up and do different things without needing to make sure that the person with the key was the first back to the flat. Having a second key is really useful in some cases :-)

Thank you for your feedback - we are pleased that you like our new bathroom. We are sorry you were inconvenienced by the lack of a spare key - this has now been rectified in the flat. We hope to welcome you again to 1 Coram Tower. Property owner Property Owner

This amazing apartment is perfect for families who love a peak at history, as well as a splendid stay beside the bay.

Upon arrival, you will be delighted by the intriguing structure of this building, with palm trees shrouding the base of this tower, noting the traditional style and architecture that makes this historical building stand out from its neighbouring properties.

After receiving a welcome hamper upon arrival, you will be keen to explore the apartment, finding yourself in a stylish sitting room with huge windows drawing in the light from the bay and allowing optimum views of the surrounding town, noting how the white leather sofas encourage you to recline and splashes of blue in the décor remind you that you are right beside the stunning Dorset coast, and right beside the window you will find a glass dining table and window bench, perfect for a heart-warming breakfast.

Paintings and photographs line the white walls, giving this property a homely feel, and a contemporary kitchen will delight any budding chef.

A super-king size bed in the main bedroom is the perfect place to snuggle down for the night, enjoying the last of the sun through the window at the foot of the bed and there is a twin room with storage, perfect for children, as well as a shower room.

With such a beautiful historic building, it would be a shame not to visit some of the local sites of interest, including walks around the incredible Cannington Viaduct, Blackbury Camp and Maiden Castle or explore the history of the local area at Lyme Regis Museum.

When in need of a cup of tea and home-made cake, head into the local town where you will be able to find a variety of eateries, as well as shops selling craft and artwork.

You can’t come to Dorset and not take a walk along the Jurassic coastline, where you can indulge in sea views and may be lucky enough to find a fossil.
