A conveniently located bijoux apartment overlooking the beach in Lyme Regis.
Car parking space a real bonus. As a family of 4 with a dog, we enjoyed a wonderful few days at 1 Wellhayes. The location was brilliant and being able to eat outside on the balcony in late October was such a treat!! On a side note, I did mention this to the cleaner as we were leaving the property - the mat at the front door was smelly, due to it becoming wet due to the rain during our stay. One of the cords on the blinds in the front bedroom had come loose. I think the bathroom may have benefitted a shower curtain to prevent the floor from becoming dangerously slippy after showering. Despite the above points, we had a brilliant stay and would stay again! Many thanks!
Brilliant views adjacent to lovely park and loads of eating places .
Steep steps but once inside comfortable accommodation. Cutlery needed a good clean .Loads of hot Water. Could do with 2 foldaway comfirtable recliner garden chairs and a sun umbrella.Best ever welcome pack.free parking away from property a bonus keep your luggage to a minimum.
My family and I have been visiting Lyme for over 30 years and have stayed in numerous holiday homes.
We are easily pleased and do not need much to be able to relax and enjoy our holidays, we love Lyme. We chose to spend a week at Wellhayes for two reasons, location and dogs allowed. Sadly it was not up to standards expected. The general cleanliness overall was ok but the floor was awful. After spending less than five minutes inside my granddaughters white sock were black! The floor needs a deep clean. I did the best I could with wipes and we ended up buying a large pic-nick blanket to cover the main area. The sofa is well past being comfortable and the covers and cushions felt dirty, smelt awful and again I had to buy a throw to use over the sofa. The outside area has beautiful views of course but lacked general care, over the balcony in a void space was old towels and rubbish. The bushes and shrubbery overgrown. When we arrived the table had the remnants of somebody’s Indian dinner with mango chutney and rice all over it. It spoilt the enjoyment of sitting outside eating or relaxing. The front door lock is temperamental and on one occasion struggle for a long time to be able to open it from the outside. We did speak with Sykes on the Saturday we arrived , they were extremely difficult to deal with, unhelpful and dismiss in nature. A friendly person from the local ‘ Lyme bay holidays’ branch called on Monday, advised the owner could come on Tuesday to attend to the garden area. We declined, it was at least a days work and we did not want the disturbance during our one week. It’s a great spot and we would of loved to add this to our list of holiday homes, we visit it at least twice a year but unfortunately it felt the position is expected to make up for the lack of care.
