"The location of this cottage was absolutely perfect for us - very close to the Cobb."
My elderly Mum could manage to walk there and she loved the sea view from the front bedroom. Our dog was very safe with a gated garden, and the kitchen/utility room area had a lovely cool floor during the heatwave which was perfect.
The allocated parking space was very close and beautifully organised and we were able to book an additional space for a second car when needed.
Beds were really comfy, lovely teat to have both an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs shower room. Everything worked well and we wanted for nothing!

"Windwhistle is a lovely cottage, the only negative is the very narrow kitchen."
It’s perfectly placed for the beach and the town, with a flat walk along the prom and sea to get to the shops. However Sykes Cottages are extremely difficult to contact if you need any assistance, which was very frustrating.

"Wind Whistle was exceptionally clean."
The welcome gift was extremely generous and thoughtful thank you. The bed linen and beds were comfy and good quality bed linen. A beautiful view. Which I raced out every morning to look at. Wi fi was a bit sketchy but that was just my signal. Couldn't find the properties wi fi code so used my own. Kitchen is a bit challenging but not a problem. It was very well equipped out. Was very cold when we first arrived which did make me miserable. But my husband had to bleed the radiators then it was OK after that. The property is so close to everything which was a big bonus for us. The only Fault was the allocated parking space that came with the property.

"We returned to Windwhistle, a lovely, comfortable, cosy cottage on Cobb Terrace."
The cottage is generously filled with pretty art and treasures, as well as having everything we needed, and we felt welcomed and 'at home'.
It was great to have the parking space to return to after our trips to Beer, Bridport and Sidmouth.
The cottage is perfectly situated on the hill about 100 yards from the Cobb, nestled amongst a few similar properties on a quiet terrace, with a pretty front garden overlooking the sea.
The weather was glorious and the conservatory was hot.
We enjoyed lots of dog walking to Uplyme along the river and lunchtime tapas at the Strawberry Tree, which is dog friendly at lunchtimes, as well as visiting most of the town pubs and shops.
We look forward to our next stay in Lyme Regis at Windwhistle, if it's available.

"I can’t really fault it."
This is the second time we have stayed at Windwhistle, and we love it. The sea view from the twin room is lovely and you can watch the sunrise every morning from there. The cottage has all the facilities you need, and was warm , cosy and very clean. Our dog settled in really quickly and it was lovely to have a secure little garden for him to stretch his legs. I am sure we will be returning.

"Comfortable, cosy, quiet, well planned and well equipped cottage in good location, just up the hill from the Cobb and down the hill from Hix restaurant."
Useful porch to leave wet coats, muddy shoes and wipe down the dog. The information folder in the property could be updated, with clear emergency contact details added. Our stay was let down by zero cleaning prior to our visit - very dirty bathrooms and no double bed made up. Arriving after 4pm on Friday didn't leave us time to find or get help, meaning I had to clean. Sykes were helpful on WhatsApp the next day, and followed up with a phone call, contacting the owner who compensated us. We would still recommend the cottage as long as the cleaning was in place!

"Spotlessly clean, a charming cottage."
The kitchen to be fair is quite challenging but is fully equipped. The twin bedded room has the fantastic view of the Cobb and gets the sunrise in the morning whereas the master bedroom has neither. Cosy and welcoming in a great location and very easy to feel at home in. We would return.
