"A lovely place to stay."
Thoughtful touches from the dog treat jar to the human treat hamper, all very appreciated, thankyou! The information pack was clear and concise and the kitchen full of useful utensils and cookware. The house is beautiful and very clean & comfortable.
An easy walk down to the beautiful woods and river; also within a short drive to many other locations.
Thank you for a pleasant stay, highly recommend!

"Very nice house , well equipped and with a modern heating and hot water system."
Great location for exploring the area and going for walks straight from the house. Shop and pub very local , the shop literally sells everything you would need, saving on bringing loads of food etc. Off road parking and side entrance / utility room was great for bringing in the dog after muddy walks. Welcome pack was a nice touch.
Thanks

"Manor Farm House is a beautifully presented house, located in a busy road in Bere Regis."
(Lots of people stopping at the Nisa store opposite).
On arrival a very nice welcome hamper of local goods, biscuits, tea, milk, etc
Beds very comfortable, bedding of good quality.
Hot water readily available and central heating worked very efficiently when needed.
Lovely lit handrail to stairs very useful.
Super large TV in lounge.
Located in a lovely part of Dorset.
Downsides: Some furniture slightly impractical for holiday makers (i.e..big wardrobe in double room near bathroom, bedside table drawers in same room).
Some door knobs and locks caused lock- in problems, namely lock to bathroom door and the knob to double room (next to bathroom), which had to be dismantled whilst locked in room, with swiss army knife, as central pin had come off.
Not being able to access back garden, for instance to let dog out during stay, was a little inconvenient, especially at night, fortunately it didn't rain all week!
Internet very intermittent in parts of the house, especially bedrooms.
Rooms are full of lovely decorative items but some shelf space would be nice for use whilst staying. Including some shelving in the bathroom/s.
However that said, it is one of the best presented holiday houses we have ever stayed in, in over 40 years of renting holiday accommodation. Thank you.
We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday and that you think Manor Farm House is one of the best presented houses you have stayed in .
We are sorry you had a problem with the door if you had called Neil he would have sorted this immediately for you . The internet works over the entire house so I’m at a loss . We do have a yard accessed directly from the dining room useful for doggy’s .We look forward to welcoming you back .

"What a beautiful and extremely well appionted cottage."
Immaculately presented and appointed, with everything you could possibly need for your holiday.
On arrival the key was easy to find, entering the property we were greeted with a beautiful basket of local produce and fresh milk in the fridge, essential for that first cup of tea after travelling.
Plenty of parking was available in a large gravelled drive way, certainly enough for 3 cars.
A large sitting room with plenty of very comfortable sofas and chairs and a huge television with all streaming services on it..
The only very minor drawback is that there is no access to the rear garden apart from the front door, which ment walking around the property with glasses and bottles when you wanted to sit outside and have a leisurely drink.
The property is extremely well situated within the village , exactly opposite the local shop and post office and only a 30 second walk to the local pub " The Drax Arms".
All in all a great place to stay.

"In the twin bedroom the door handle malfunctioned locking the occupant in the room."
Pegs were available but no washing line to hang washing on. In the kitchen there were no hand towels , dish clothes or anything for wiping down surfaces. When we arrived we went to put the key code in as advised to the key box only to find that it was already showing on it. So all we had to do was press the release button so anybody could have gained entrance. More information could be provided in the information folder as to the recycling waste. There is two bins in the kitchen obviously for recycle and non recyclable but outside just one dustbin? As to the operation of the cooker all though there is a cooker pamphlet in the folder which was not easy to understand. Perhaps it would be better if the instructions were made planer and left on the wall in front of the cooker. On suite shower the larger main shower hose only omitted a very small amount of water, so i had to use the smaller hose. Apart from these small anomalies we had a very enjoyable holiday. Thank you.
We are so glad you had an enjoyable holiday . We can only apologise about the door handle which has now been replaced . We provide a clothes airer to stand outside and the washing machine is a dryer to . Every week we provide seven hand towels ,two tea towels ,scouring sponge , washing up cloth etc so are at a loss if anything got missed . We also have two rubbish bins and a glass bin in the courtyard. We do leave a direct no if you had any issues and had you rung we would have resolved any issues immediately.

"Great property."
Very well equipped. Local walks by the river great for the dog! The owner (Neil) was very helpful with the two 'incidents' we had (no TV and no hot water). Some things that would make it even better are...
1 - Towels are very soft...lovely! We would prefer to have two hand towels per room though. Had to use our own.
2 - Rear access to garden would have meant we would have used it more. Nice south facing spot but having to walk round via the high street with drinks etc not for us. Also, needed to do 'the walk' for the dog early morning and late at night :)
We understand that both pubs are under threat of closure, especially The Drax which will close by the end of June if no tenant found. This could seriously affect the properties attractiveness for future bookings. We would book again, but only if the pubs remained open.
Dear John glad you enjoyed the house and the walks with the dog by the river . Luckily the tv just needed switching off and on again due to static build up and the boiler pressure drop was fixed in ten minutes so it wasn’t a problem. We understand that a new landlord for the Drax is on the cards. However there are loads of great country and real ale pubs less than ten minutes away from here. There were spare towels that you were welcome to use glad you would book again.

"We had a wonderful long weekend in Manor House, it was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed."
There were six adults in our party and the house felt really roomy with us all in it. There is a great well stocked shop across the road. We had two dogs with us and although there was no direct access to the garden it didn’t affect us, as at the bottom of the road (about 5 minutes walk) there was a massive area where the dogs could walk freely with a river and lots of trails into the countryside where you could walk for miles, our dogs loved it. It is a great place to base yourself to travel around Dorset. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

"There were just the two of us in this lovely property so we only used two of the three excellent bedrooms."
We had everything we needed and were extremely comfortable.
The local shop just across the road was a godsend.
The road was narrow and busy during the day but pretty quiet at night.
There were lots of places to visit.
We went on the train from Corfe Castle to Swanage, visited Wareham to walk round the Saxon walls, Weymouth for a traditional seaside town, Dorchester for another walk around the boundary path, Shaftesbury for a very pleasant day and for a tour of the brewery at Blandford.
Unfortunately we struggled with the dishwasher as the door wouldn’t shut and the machine, therefore wouldn’t start. We managed to wedge the door shut with a dining chair and the machine worked then. It does need attention though.
It was a shame there was no direct access to the garden and it could only be accessed by leaving the front door and walking around. We originally were going to have a dog with us and it would have been inconvenient to have to stay in the garden with him.
However these were minor problems and we had a great week with fine but chilly weather.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay .
Re the dishwasher the top tray had been raised out of alignment stopping the door , our maintenance man would have fixed it in a moment had you called him . Glad it didn’t spoil your stay . The rear garden is lovely and secure for dogs , but also we do have a small yard directly off the dining room .
We look forward to welcoming you back next time .

"We had a lovely stay in Bere Regis."
The house was very spacious, clean and very well stocked. It accommodated us as a family of 4 plus grandparents very well. The Wi-Fi connection wasn't very stable though and often kicked you out, a very minor issue and didn't affect our stay.
Hi Mrs Allen
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Manor Farm House . I have spoken to Vodafone broadband so the WiFi connections can be checked as we haven’t had any issues before and so this doesn’t happen again.

"This was a lovely, well thought out, refurbished cottage, everything, from the furniture, curtains and pictures on the walls oozed quality, someone certainly has an eye for detail."
It has a beautiful dining room with a lovely dining table, the sitting room is comfortable and cozy, it has a very well equipped kitchen to prepare meals and drinks to have, sitting around the table in the dining room. We had one small problem, which was sorted within an hour of reporting it, great service. There was plenty of hot water and the cottage was warm, there are two log burners, but we only used the one in the sitting room. The bathroom and en-suite are clean and functional. All in all a beautiful cottage to spend a week or two with family or friends. Did I mention the beautiful dining table?
Dear Harry we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and pleased you liked the decor so much including the dining table which has seen many a supper over the years . We look forward to welcoming you back . X
