ONE WINDOW IN THE LIVING ROOM DOOR BOARDED UP AND HELD IN WITH DUCT TAPE , ONLY ONE TEASPOON IN THE CUTTLERY DRAWER .A BIT DATED .THE RESTUARANT ,IF YOU BOOK, YOU GET A TABLE CLOTH ,IF YOU JUST WALK IN FOR A MEAL YOU DO NOT GET ONE . APART FROM THAT NOT TOO BAD ,SLEPT WELL . PARKING FEES IN SWANAGE VERY HIGH ,STUDLAND YOU WILL NEED A MORTGAGE TO PAY FOR PARKING .

  • "This cosy little cottage has everything you need for a perfect stay from a hot tub in a secure garden ready for you to relax and our dog loved sniffing round the garden."

The bathroom had an amazing shower the kitchen had all mod coms so our week here was amazing. We asked for the rose bush to be be tied back as it was overhanging on the path and they came round to do that and cut the grass too. The hot tub was checked every morning too. Would highly recommended a stay here.

  • "We enjoyed our holiday very much, There was a few little things, lawn wasn't cut made it look untidy and hard to pick up after our dog doing his business."

Not enough cutlery, it would be nice to have a sweeping brush as well. Lovely and quiet, bed really comfy,

  • "Please include hand soap in the bathroom."

Some shampoo and shower soap would be nice, but at the very least provide soap after someone uses the toilet.

  • "The cottage appeared to be clean on available, but it came apparent the bathroom had not been cleaned appropriately for sometime."

It was evident a cloth had been sweeped across the bathroom , but the shower had black mould around joints and rust on the shower head. The toilet had an horrible bad drains smell, the sink had black mould around the joints and the corner bath plug had a large amount of dark long hair booking the flow of the water when attempting to empty the bath. The kitchen only had one roasting tray so made matters difficult to cook a roast dinner. No mop or hoover, no plug for kitchen sink which was a light brown colour. The floors had not been moped. I purchased a mop, brush and dust pan plus a baking tray. We did ask for a mop and brush which we did receive only to find on r retrun home from a day out that they had removed it from the cottage. I spent my valuable holiday time purchasing toilet blocks, bathroom cleaner, mopping the cottages floors and cleaning the bathrooms but not the shower because it just made me feel sooo unclean. The towel radiator had rust all over it The toilet blocks helped remove the horrible drain smell , the hair removed from.the corner bath and bathroom nice and clean and no mould in sight, except the shower. The baking tray l purchased helped to make up an evening meal without stressing. I am able to provide photos. Would like some money back for the time wasted cleaning the bathroom etc

  • "We had the most amazing stay at Rose Cottage."

It really completed our Christmas and gave a touch of extra magic. The hot tub was fantastic, the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, the log burner provided a cosy retreat after a day exploring the coast. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was everything we needed in the cottage. Location was perfect! Our only small complaint (although it isn't a complaint but more of an observation), there is a very unpleasant smell coming from the drains in the bathroom which, if the door is left open, you can smell throughout the cottage. Regardless, we had the most wonderful stay and will be back for sure!

  • "Rose Cottage is quirky, homely and a beautiful place to nestle for a few days."

The hot tub of an evening was amazing to relax in. There is lots to do nearby, Swanage town is busy and plenty of boutiques and shops, the beach is gorgeous and nearby Corfe Castle is a must see, especially at night when it's lit up. I would thoroughly recommend this site and cottage and will definitely book this property again. When we arrived the little touches such as the Christmas tree and logs for the fire were lovely and made it even more cosy. The only thing missing that would have been handy, due to the wet weather, is a floor mop and the oven interior is missing part of the shelf supports at the rear so the metal shelves are slanted making it awkward to cook when you put the trays in. Other than that everything was perfect. Thank you for

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
