  • "We had a wonderful week at Quay Cottage."

    It provided a perfect base for exploring Poole and the surrounding area. All our culenary needs were fullfilled within walking distance along the quat front or on the High Street. The cottage itself was superb with a well fitted out kitchen, really comfy sitting room and the bedroom we used was guarenteed to give you a great nights sleep. The shower we used was spacious with plenty of power. We would recomend to any couples or families, on the sunny days we fealt we could have been on the French Riviera. We really enjoyed our stay.   • "Fantastic position, only draw back was, people looking in at you on the ground floor, have mentioned to owners that perhaps slatted blinds/shutters would help, you could still appreciate the view."

    Very tight parking out the back, my husband got a ticket while unloading (be warned) at the front. But we had a lovely break even though I was hospitalised for 5 of the 7 days,Poole Hospital was brilliant, the locals are very friendly,loved the King Charles Pub. This house has everything you need and more.

  • "The PERFECT accomodation at the PERFECT location in Poole!"

    ! Quay Cottage is everything advertised and then some. Host was personable, professional, friendly and helpful. Views of the harbour are lovely. Everything (sights, restaurants, stores, etc.) are within easy walking distance. Book no other site for Poole as Quay Cottage is the best deal all around.

  • "We had such a lovely week at Quay Cottage."

    The cottage was spotless and well equipped for our stay. Great location, easy to get to other sightseeing places. We would recommend this as a base to others. We do feel that we should mention that when we arrived your neighbour opposite was waiting for us and we hadn’t even got out of the car before she told us our vehicle was too big and we couldn’t park there. Unfortunately she would not compromise on this situation and move her bins into her garden to create more space. This resulted in us having to park so close to the wall we were nearly touching it. She told us we would have to find a car park to park in for the week. We did not do this as we had paid for the cottage and we had left enough room for the scooter to get past. It was particularly frustrating as we had called Sykes before booking and asked if there would be enough space for our vehicle and we were assured (by the owner) there would be plenty of room. I would appreciate the owners thoughts on this matter as it wasn’t a very pleasant start to our holiday after an 8 hour drive! Many thanks

  • "Thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely property."

    The location was excellent. The property was perfect. Very clean and well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. The layout was great - a big bonus was having the car parking space and outside seating. It would have been useful to have had an extra key, as we had 4 adults. But not a problem because of the key box availability. Communication through out was excellent. Poole was wonderful - we will definitely visit again.

  • "Quay cottage is a lovely comfortable cottage with great facilities and very well equipped."

    The only thing I would say is that the parking situation is not ideal at all. As a cottage for 6 people most will bring a family sized car - and the space is very tight! The neighbour whose mobility scooter needs to pass by the car approached us immediately we arrived to ask us to park right in the corner as there is very little wiggle room. This caused a lot of hassle every time we returned with the car. There really is no additional free parking in the area, so when my daughter joined us we had to pay for her to park on someone’s drive for the duration of her stay. Something for people to be aware of. That being said we had a lovely holiday.

  • "Had a fantastic stay at Quay Cottage."

    Tastefully decorated, lovely and clean with everything you could want. Great that there are parking facilities and so close to all the bars, restaurants and shop (all within walking distance). There are a few, very small, things that would improve the cottage, but I won’t state them as nothing would stop me from recommending it or staying there again, also, I don’t want this to turn into a negative review. Again a lovely perfect cottage and will definitely be going back there again in the near future.

  • "The cottage was lovely and very cosy."

    I think the coffee machine was a selling point that I didn’t spot in the listing-v pleased to have it. We would have used a teapot if there had been one! And also bins in the bedrooms. Enjoyed the high spec bathrooms.

  • "Absolutely beautiful property in an absolutely perfect location."

    It is obvious that it's recently been refurbished to a high standard. The bed was really comfortable too. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and everything required for a self-catering holiday. The bathroom was excellent with amazing power shower. Parking is tight (as mentioned) but ideal. Garden VERY secure too.

  • "We had an excellent stay in the house and it was all furnished to a high standard and very clean on arrival."

    There was only 2 of us but a big space for a family and two bathrooms and one downstairs w/c. The outside area was also a bonus and the car space is a luxury in Poole and easy to goi out and return. . The property is overlooking the quay which is a nice and bustling area with plenty going on. Lots of boat trips around the area. Poole itself has many bars, pubs and restaurants all within 10 minutes walk. The old town is lovely although a small area. I would highly recommend this house to friends and family and would not hesitate to book again if staying in the area.

  • "Very nice property in an excellent location."

    House was very nicely decorated & equipped. ( Only thing missing for us was an Oyster shuking knife & some tools for breaking lobster/crab shells). Cleaning staff contacted us prior to arrival informing us the property was ready, which was a nice touch. Absolutely no complaints with the property & would recommend it to others & indeed would return again.

The town of Poole is dominated by one of the world's biggest natural harbours, which features five pine clad islands and regular boat trips. The largest of these islands is Brownsea Island, where Baden Powell began the Scout Movement. To the west is the 'Isle of Purbeck', which offers visitors scenic countryside, dotted with quaint villages and stunning seascapes, plus Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Corfe Castle are well worth a visit. The local beaches at Sandbanks provide excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports. Alternatively, visit the neighbouring family friendly seaside resort of Bournemouth and within driving distance is the fascinating New Forest National Park.
