The property

Maiden Newton 3.4 miles.

This beautiful detached stone cottage is set in the amazing county of Dorset, within the Kingcombe Centre Nature reserve, owned and managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust and an AONB.

Enjoy direct access to the acres of land and walking routes belonging to the Kingcombe nature reserve and share a wonderful adventure with your family in the south west of England.

Walk into the sitting room where you'll be impressed by the large brick fireplace, now home to a modern woodburning stove that sits next to the original bread oven, a unique feature compared to many other holiday accommodation.

Enjoy family meals sat around the dining table, with food lovingly prepared in the contemporary kitchen you'll find everything you need to cook up a storm.

When you're ready for bed after a long day of exploring, head upstairs to the double room, perfect for a couple, or if you're holidaying with a friend, simply make use of the sofa-bed to convert the room to a twin.

Also upstairs is the shower room with a shower cubicle, basin and WC, so you can wake up and get a refreshing shower in the morning.

This property benefits from an orchard enclosed which is used for access to the wildlife reserve.

This property has wonderful character with exposed wooden beams and brickwork, echoing the country surroundings, and providing a home-from-home for guests.

This fantastic area is a haven for walkers and cyclists alike, with so many trails and paths already carved out for you, and with plenty of quaint tea rooms and cafes to stop at along the way, you are sure to love ambling around Dorset.

Not far away is the bustling towns of Lyme Regis, Weymouth and West Bay, all excellent choices for a day out exploring the local sights and taking in the history.

Pound Cottage is a lovely property to bring your loved ones to, for getting to know this part of the UK.
