"Absolutely gorgeous!"
The views and position of cottage/barn are fantastic. Everything you need is there and Sue the owner greeted us on our first day and was within easy reach if we needed anything. She was so helpful advising us of best places to visit. She even offered us a tour of the farm and to watch the cows being milked. The local pub The Five Bells is a super pub with delicious homemade and locally sourced food. The hot tub was an added bonus and I will miss sitting in it if an evening looking at the beautiful scenery and relaxing in the peace. Our dog Freddy absolutely loved the enclosed garden and the chance to run around the fields. He is sulking now he is back home! Daisy Cottage was an amazing break for myself, my husband and my 89 year old Father in Law. We would definitely recommend this enchanting place and we are already looking at when we can go back.

"The accommodation was very well equipped and clean on our arrival."
The owner greeted us and made us very welcome. If we needed anything, she was just next door. The hot tub was a welcome relieve after some very hot weather. They even put a canopy cover over the gazebo for shade, while we was there. Thank you.
Highly recommend this accommodation. It is near a working farm and you can get the usual farm smell, but this didn’t bother us. It isn’t far to the coast and there is plenty to see and do in this area.
Thank you so much for your comments and so glad you enjoyed your stay with the hottest weather this year.

"We had a lovely stay at this cottage and the owner was fantastic – very welcoming, friendly and made us feel right at home."
The cottage is in a beautiful setting with stunning views, and it’s a great base for exploring the local area. One thing to be aware of is that the approach is via some very narrow country lanes, so take your time if you’re not used to driving them.
The cottage itself was comfortable, although the décor is a little dated. As it’s located on a working farm, there were quite a few flies inside during our stay, which is worth bearing in mind.
We knew before booking that the cottage was on a farm, but it didn’t quite work for us as we have a reactive dog. Sheep were grazing directly outside the garden fence, which made it difficult to relax with him outside. This won’t be an issue for most dogs, but it’s something other owners of reactive dogs may appreciate knowing.
Overall, we had a nice stay in a beautiful location with spectacular views, and we’d like to thank the owner for being such a welcoming host.

"Daisy Cottage is a spacious comfortable cottage with amazing views of the countryside from the conservatory and garden."
The cottage is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break. The cottage is in the courtyard of a working farm so it can be busy with sheep and cattle very close to the cottage and equipment moving from early morning. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and Sue kindly took us for a tour of the farmyard showing us the robot milking machines and the areas where the animals are kept. Although they are very well cared for it is tempting to become a vegetarian when you see the reality of farming. The 5 bells pub around a mile away served excellent food with very friendly staff and good value. The cottage is ideally suited for easy access to the beach and local resorts. All in all a great week.
Thank you for your comments, I enjoy showing guests how a modern farm works, even down to some of the paperwork !!

"Fabulous base to stay for different areas of Dorset."
Clean and well maintained. Loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. It’s a beautiful working farm and the sheep were very cute. Lovely to wake up to on a morning see all lambs jumping around. The hot tub is a bonus.
Thank you for your comments and I look forward to meeting you again one day

"One of the best holidays we've had in several years."
The accomodation is practically perfect. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, etc...
The new Starlink internet seems to have overcome the issues faced by some of the previous reviews regarding internet stability, as we never seemed to have an issue with connectivity during our stay, and that was with 2 phones, 2 tablets, a streaming stick, and the cottage TV.
The TV has a wide variety of streaming apps and services available, but you'll need to provide your own account details to use them.
Even with being opposite the farm buildings, and having various vehicles driving in and out of the forecourt during the day, you very rarely hear anything that even remotely distracting.
The view from the back of the cottage of rolling fields as far as you can see is wonderful. Even with poor weather, it is still great to sit in the conservatory and take in the view.
The outdoor hot tub is a definite crowd pleaser, and one of the main reasons why we booked this stay.
We're definitely planning on returning to this fantastic hidden delight.
Thank you for your feedback so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we look forward to meeting you both again at a future date.

"Daisy Cottage is a very comfortable, well equipped and perfectly located holiday destination."
The cottage is on a working farm but there was no disturbance other than the occasional 'bah' from the sheep in the field in front of the conservatory. It's about a mile from the village which has a pub serving excellent food. Walkable distance but only in the light as narrow unlit lanes. Only 3 miles from Charmouth, and a short hop in the car to an amazing farm shop.
The cottage was very comfortable and the kitchen really well equipped. The bedroom we used looked out over the fields and beds were comfy. The second bedroom had an ensuite which was useful. There's a smart TV there which we only used the once as we like chilling and reading when we're away. We did make a lot of use of the hot tub which is really close to the back door which was good as we were there in October so a bit chilly when you get out of the tub.
We are certainly planning a second trip and looking forward to one of the walking farm tours given by the owner.
Thank you for your great feedback and we look forward to meeting you again one day.

"Whilst Daisy Cottage was in a good location for visiting all the different areas, the cottage itself needs some attention."
There were cobwebs everywhere in bedrooms and bathroom, the dishwasher does not leave items looking clean therefore having to handwash glass in particular, the tv was damaged therefore the picture was distorted, the kettle needs replacing as limescale was ending up in our tea. The bed mattresses could also do with being replaced, very springy and uncomfortable for a weeks stay. Considering it was on a farm we found it very peaceful and private with lovely views from the garden area.
Thank you for your comments. If you had told me about the probelms I could have let you have another TV, it was new in April. The mattress in the double room was new in April and the other 2 within the last 2 years. I will ask my cleaning lady to be more observant with cobwebs but as it is a very high ceiling in the beams, not easy to reach without help. I will check the dishwasher is running correctly.

"This property is brilliant ."
Sue the host is lovely.
It’s comfy and cozy with a beautiful garden and hot tub. The beds are comfy and it’s got everything you need. Although It’s on a working farm it was really quiet, yes you hear the odd tractor and the sheep baahh in the field next to you but that’s all part of it’s charm. There were a few flies but again it’s part of being on a working farm and a bit of fly spray soon fixed it. You can park right outside the door which makes unloading and loading your car really easy. It’s an easy drive to Charmouth, Lyme Regis and Bridport, but the roads are narrow until you get out on to the main ones so care is needed. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Daisy Cottage and would definitely stay there again.
Thank you for your feedback, we hope to see you again one day.

"Stunning location down a typical country road on a working farm."
if this is exactly what you are looking for it's perfect. However the road to and from property has windey bends and tractors so be prepared to reverse where necessary. Cottage and beds comfortable and everything you need in kitchen. Hot tub fabulous. only real negative for us was the lack of wifi the owners have put everything in to try and improve but it's still not strong enough for the smart tv or iphones so we had to detox from using technology which i suppose isn't a bad thing. If you know before that the wifi isn't great at least you are prepared
Thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review following your stay at Daisy Cottage. The approach roads are typical of country lanes but with plenty of passing spaces! We are delighted to confirm that we have now had superfast Starlink wifi installed to both of our properties giving a much better connection for our guests.

"We arrived via narrow country lanes and parking was right outside the front door for easy unloading."
It is a lived in converted barn and is very welcoming and nicely laid out. Bedrooms are exactly as the photos with towels supplied. The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. The living area has a full height window overlooking the yard and cows over the road in more of the farm, a resident pheasant and the farm cat checked us out at the window and had a noisy conversation with our dogs
Thank you for your feedback, so glad you enjoyed your stay.
