""What a fantastic, romantic house."
Beautiful place, nice and quiet, lots to do in the area! Wonderful beds and super nicely decorated. Only downside was that we found showering in the bathtub a bit tricky. Otherwise, truly recommended for anyone who wants to explore the Jurassic Coast from a nice, quiet spot."

"The owners were wonderful."
Very friendly and extremely helpful. The homemade cake left for us on arrival was a delightful touch. The only slightly uncomfortable aspect of the whole property, which is generally lovely and in a truly beautiful peaceful setting, was the awkward sunken bath and handheld shower nozzle arrangement. The cottage had all the utensils and equipment etc you would want, but it might have been nice to have been supplied with some ground coffee to go with the various coffee plungers. The king size bed was very comfortable, though the pillows with a touch on the hard side. Overall, this is a charming and highly recommendable place to stay. (The local pub, a short walk away, is also great.)

"Lovely cottage in a very pretty setting."
Comfortable lounge - everything you need in kitchen and immaculate
Lovely walks all around . Village pub is permanently shut unfortunately so you need to drive everywhere for food and drink
Only criticism is the key safe is at ground level - impossible if any mobility issues like us

"Lovely property in a beautiful village."
Typical of Dorset. Garden is beautiful and boasts 3 seating areas. Clean and spacious. Only 2 of us but would easily accommodate a family.
The bath is sunken which looks lovely but not the easiest to use. However I did enjoy having a bath for a change. Husband did a lot of grumbling!!
We didn't notice till we arrived home that my husband had packed your dog treat box so I will post it back 1st class. Sorry

"My friend and I spent a lovely week at pips hideaway."
It was a pretty cottage in an idyllic setting. There was traditional Dorset cake on the table when we arrived. It was comfortable and very clean and we went out most days, there was always somewhere to visit not too far away.
The day before we came home, snow fell and it looked like it would be difficult to get out for a while and the owner who lived next door offered extra time to stay and wine and food from her own freezer. Very thoughtful and kind. Also a big thank you for the screen wash as ours had run out.

The cake on arrival was much appreciated. Great pub within walking distance but unfortunately no longer serves food on an evening. Would recommend the local farm shop.

"We had a lovely stay in Pips Hideaway set in the stunning village of Milton Abbas."
It was perfectly situated for exploring Dorset. It was also so quiet and peaceful and a joy to listen to the relaxing sounds of the birds singing and see lots of varieties of bird feeding on the bird table.
We were slightly confused by the directions to the property as we didn’t come via the Blandford way so we had to go through the village of Milton Abbas (which is stunning) and turn around to follow the directions given. There is a very weak mobile/GPRS signal in and around this area so perhaps some directions from the other end of the village would also be helpful.
The property is absolutely stunning. So well thought out, so very well decorated and so very clean and tidy. It has pretty much everything you could need in these sort of holiday properties. I didn’t find myself saying very often ‘I wish this had….’ (Although maybe a clothes airer for drying the towels and swimming costumes after days at the beach would be an extra bonus?). We absolutely loved the quirky layout of the house which is something of a trend we like to look for when finding holiday properties to stay in.
The owner lives in the beautiful thatched cottage next door and on arrival had prepared lovely scones, jam and clotted cream and later in the week had baked a very tasty Dorset Apple cake and gave us some slices. Whilst she lived next door and we had a shared drive, I did not feel that we were in each others pockets or overlooked. It still felt very private. However, we did feel that if we needed to we could call on her and it was slightly comforting to know she were nearby should there be an issue.
From this area you can visit most places in Dorset within 30 minutes to an hour. The closest beach is only 30 mins away. During our time we were able to visit:
Dorchester, Monkey World, Dorset Falconry Park, Cerne Abbas (and walk to the giant), Weymouth, Portland Bill, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, swanage and Corfe Castle all within reasonable travelling distances and all great places to go.
This property was ideal for our holiday in Dorset with our family of four and it was also well affordable. I would absolutely recommend it and would stay again if we return to holiday in this area.

The location is perfectly peaceful, and the cottage is beautifully decorated with everything you need. Anita the host went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. Beautiful walks from the cottage. The Abbey is stunning and the local farm shop, also within walking distance, was very welcoming with lovely local produce and an outdoor café. Just lovely!
