  • "Port side was a nice place, good for parking."

    The bath was a waste of space it needs taking out and double wardrobe and chest of drawers put in it’s place as there was no storage so had to live out of a suitcase, and the slatted bed was uncomfortable, this was not that luxurious as stated.

  • "Lovely quiet area, clean and well maintained."

    Cannot comment much on appliances in kitchen as we only used the kettle and microwave. If there was an air fryer would have used that as a lot quicker than an oven, but that’s me being picky. Great having off road parking, that’s the first thing I look for before anything else. Overall highly recommended, 20 mins walk to harbour and only 5 mins to beach

  • "Our 2nd visit stay here and just as good as the first !"

    With the addition of a new smart tv this property is fully equipped and has everything you need for a great holiday , close to the promenade / beach and harbour (both walking distance) but situated in a quiet residential area , with a pub at the end of the road

  • "A little strange entering the property through the garage, but we knew this before booking."

    Modern, clean and comfortable. Convenient spot for exploring Weymouth and surrounding areas. We missed having a back garden or patio for somewhere to sit out, but we were aware of this when booking. Would recommend this property.

  • "Property was very nice a few issues coffee maker dont work requires descaling no instructions, door handle in the front room dropped off, shower and bathroom sink backing up, smoke alarm is very sensitive when you use the toaster and the oven is the same."

    The bathroom was sorted very quickly by the maintenance staff. I went round to the next property to apologise for the alarms Saying all that the property is very well situated to the sea front. Regards Mr& Mrs lane

  • "We liked this place so much, we have returned again."

    The bed mattress is much improved and as before it was clean and comfortable. The Park pub is a short stroll away and if you have your canine companion with you, a dog friendly park is across the road from the pub. We enjoyed lovely meals in the park pub and would highly recommend it for its great food, service and friendlyness. The welcome back gift from the Portside owner was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Overall Portside is highly recommended.

  • "Had every thing we needed was a little dusty on plant behind bath and a couple of ledges There were some old bits of wood down the side of the back yard our dog often went round there we were worried he might hurt his self on it however none of this ruined our stay."

  • "What a fabulous place to stay in Weymouth !"

    Just a 10 minute walk to the sea and another 20 minutes to the beautiful harbour , bright and airy interior, the apartment is well furnished and very well equipped, we didn’t eat in but well equipped if you needed to and even a dishwasher so you don’t even need to wash up after! All bedding and towels provided too , the place was spotless when we arrived and we had very good communications with Sykes cottages via email on arrival instructions, things to do in Weymouth , how we enjoyed our first night , departing instructions etc. To top it off the weather was warm and sunny all week , we’ve already booked again for next year ! Thank you for a brilliant stay

  • "The entrance are is a good place to put any beach stuff and a great place to dry wet swimming kit."

    The property was clean and a well stocked with kitchen with utensils. Bedroom and bathroom both neat and clean. The washing machine was a handy thing to have the use of. We have stayed here twice now, and would definitely stay again.

  • "The place was like most holiday rentals and ok."

    Clean and with most things we needed. Good WiFi service Disappointing there was no toothbrush charger/ razor point in the bathroom which is pretty standard in most bathrooms nowadays. The garage space was great storage and actually the coolest room. However it was awfully hot in the bedroom which is in the roof space and was impossible to keep cool. A tiny fan was provided but it was more a desk fan so made no difference. As others have said the bed needs replacing it’s awfully soft and I came home with a bad back. The photo is a fare representation of the lack of space on one side of the bed but I hadn’t appreciated it and getting into a hot soft bed from the end each time was a pain. As others have said it needs a larger sofa. It’s a small 2 seater so very small for two people who are actually not overweight. The number of stairs would mean people with mobility issues might struggle. Close to the beach and the town.

    It was well located for getting into Weymouth either on foot or by bus and also to get out to the surrounding area. It is in a quiet location off the main road a short walk from the sea front. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book again.

  • "Lovely place to stay, with easy access to a great pub and a dog friendly park."

    It was well equipped and we loved the little balcony. We found the bed way too soft and couldn't get the fire to work, but as we didn't really need it, it wasn't a problem. Would stay there again.

  • "Great little base, a couple of problems quickly sorted by maintenance people."

    As I mentioned in guest book, 2 sets of keys would be helpful for separate visits away from property. The reason I gave 3 for comfort was that the bed was too soft for me. Otherwise a perfect stay. BTW, be aware that a long car would struggle to park and would need to go on road further away.

  • "Lovely little gem in the centre of Weymouth."

    10 minute walk to the beach and shop fronts. Property was clean and tidy with everything you need for a long stay. The property is unusual in it's design (in the best way!), with a converted garage area as the ground floor, but this holds a bookshelf with plenty of books and board games for those rainy evenings. Really lovely stay and felt really at home in this cosy space.

  • "The property was compact, clean, tidy, quiet and in a great location, only been a few minutes walk to the beach."

    The added bonus of a parking space right outside was great. There was one drawback with the property that’s stopped me giving it 5 stars - the curtain & blind in the bedroom! Neither stopped any light entering the bedroom and with a security light constantly going off all night behind the property it just shone straight into the room, also as soon as the sun was up, it was like someone had switched the bedroom light on. Had to resort to buying eye masks in the end.

  • "Excellent, comfortable and extremely clean."

    Within walking distance to the town, beach and harbour. Nice dog friendly pub just at the bottom of the lane. Comfortable settee and good sized TV for if you want to stay in. Stairs were a little difficult for us but we were fully aware of this from the property description.
