  • "We enjoyed our week in Colombo Cottage."

Although one of a line of cottages it didn't feel overlooked and had its own small terrace at the front as well as use of a very large communal garden. There are a number of parking spaces and there was always at least one free as well as room to park elsewhere if they had been full. The cottage is in a beautiful quiet rural location yet only about a mile from Lyme Regis which can easily be reached on foot down through two fields and along some paths. It is approached down a lane of about a quarter of a mile with few passing places but we only had to reverse once. The entrance to the lane is right opposite the Lyme Regis Park & Ride on the Charmouth road but the P&R wasn't operating when we stayed there (dates it is operating can be found online). The entrance to the lane was somewhat difficult to find first time round because the directions are out of date and there is no sign (so it's best to use the P&R as a reference point). The cottage was clean, reasonably well-appointed and comfortable; the only slight negative was that the main bedroom is a bit small and with a velux window so got a bit stuffy in the heatwave even with the door open. A floor fan might help to move air around so would be a welcome addition. But overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if we were to stay in the area.

  • "Lovely accommodation in country surroundings on the outskirts of LymeRegis."

A ideal base for touring the area. One mile walk into town. Those who are less mobile would need to use their cars to travel about but for those more active there is an excellent bus service down coast. We didn’t use our car all week! If you do walk into Lyme a torch is useful for the last bit or bridle path. Accommodation well appointed and whilst it appears an inconvenience not to set own heating it’s not the cottage was nice and warm. However it would have been nice to have water a little hotter for a bath at the end of a busy day. But overall a great location if you like dark skies and a location free from traffic noise! We will certainly visit again.

  • "Comfortable and well equipped."

A *very* quiet location, 1 mile above Lyme Regis and surrounded by fields and woods. Ample parking with space to spare close to the cottages. We really appreciated the thoughtful 'Welcome Package'. We did have a problem with the shower but understand that has now been fixed.
