  • "My daughters and I loved Badbury Lodge."

So clean and welcoming. Nice decor. Plenty of space for us and useful having two bathrooms! The small freezer was very useful. The garden was nice to sit out in the sunshine and also the veranda offered shade. Nice lights at night too. Personally, I found the pillows a little lumpy but that is probably just me being picky! We found a car parking space in the road opposite though did find the allocated space. It meant we did not use the car that week as we walked everywhere...a pleasant change. I loved returning to Weymouth and will visit again, and will try to book Badbury Lodge again. Thank you.

  • "Arrived to a very welcoming, comfortable home."

The house was spotlessly clean, a credit to the staff who prepare it for guests. It is spacious well equipped with everything needed for our stay. The parking facility is a bonus. We enjoyed relaxing in the lovely rear garden in the afternoons. We have never been to Weymouth before and enjoyed many of the walks, restaurants and coffee shops etc. We would not hesitate to recommend Badbury Lodge and hope to return soon.

  • "An excellent stay, thanks Jean."

We used Badbury Lodge as a short-term home for 3 weeks to refamiliarise ourselves with the area on return from overseas. It is spacious, comfortable, warm, very clean and extremely well appointed with pretty much everything needed. Easy walking access into Weymouth and surrounding walks, plus use of the garden on sunny days. If staying for more than a week I recommend stipulating the requirement for a change of linen/towels etc. Instructions need to include car parking arrangements (300 yds away).

Our only gripe was the key safe which was difficult to open and close.

  • "The two chairs at the back of the table were both very dusty, and, worse, one had a used mask left on it."

The absence of accessible parking proved extremely irksome, and it would have been useful to know that the lodge was set back and surrounded by walls and large bushes, which prevented identification from the road whilst driving.

  • "Everything was great."

Shame about problem with parking with rooms sleeping 4 adults coming with 2 cars it becomes a bit awkward.

  • "Lovely holiday let, clean and well maintained."

Also a great location, easy walk to Weymouth centre and to get out to other areas of Dorset. Thoroughly recommended for couples and families. The only point worth making is that glass disposal isn't as easy as indicated in the instructions. The local Asda has stopped taking waste glass, the sign there says take it to local disposal site.

  • "We loved this house, it was clean and bright with absolutely everything you need."

The two bathrooms were really handy with a great shower. There was a clothes airer, loads of garden furniture and all the glasses, knives, pots and pans you could possibly need in the kitchen. There were games and DVDs in the lounge, it was just great as a place to kick back and relax. It was a five minute walk to the lovely Weymouth harbour and the cafes and restaurants of Hope Square with the beach just another short few minutes up the road. We parked our car in the space provided and never needed it again. There's a corner shop just two minutes away for essentials (wine and crisps!) and a Tesco Express and M&S Food Hall in the centre of Weymouth with an Asda nearby if you want to drive and do a serious shop. We'd highly recommend this house. We had a great holiday

  • "It is ludicrous that you don't have a phone number to report faults etc."

Do you expect me to stay on the phone for an hour to tell you that the toaster is tripping the RCD? If you do then you are living in fantasy land. Also we had to return home early, so the house could have been cleaned earlier. Again do you think I am going on stay on the phone for an hour to tell you? Very poor.

  • "Really lovely house."

Great location. No Wi-Fi though so a bit of a problem.

Hi Mrs Furness, thank you for your feedback from your stay. We're sorry about the issue with the Wi-Fi at Badbury Lodge which you encountered during your stay, this was due to a line fault with the internet provider and can assure you that this is now fully operational if you were to visit Badbury Lodge again. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Weymouth in the future. Property Owner

  • "We wish we were still there."

Absolutely love Weymouth and have been using dream cottages for over 20 years now. The house was lovely and very comfortable! Our only criticism was the oven. As it wasn’t fan assisted food took a while to cook. But apart from that the house was perfect, clean and fitted our needs perfectly.

  • "The accommodation is very airy and spacious."

It is clean and well-equipped, with comfy beds and a great location for walking to the beach, harbour and town. The parking has got busier, but we found somewhere nearby each day apart from the weekend. It is very quiet in this area and we really liked the accommodation. The guest book says the garden will be done up this year, which would be good.

  • "Some things need attention ."

As mentioned by others, the fridge was an issue when we arrived, the door would not shut. We had to clear a build up of ice on the ice box door before both doors would shut, the fridge was ok then ,but will need defrosting properly. Crockery in cupboard needs looking at ,as some was dirty and tea pot was unusable . Also real shame about the garden, understand it's going to be done at the end of the year, but doesn't help this years visitors. We were lucky and managed to get a parking space ,but it is pot luck. Badbury lodge was a lovely spacious property and very comfortable. We enjoyed our week there.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Badbury Lodge and you found the property to be spacious and comfortable. We do apologise that the ice box needed defrosting and that some of the crockery was not clean, if we were made aware of this during your stay we could have rectified this for you. We have now raised these points with the housekeeper. Again thank you for taking the time for leaving feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to another property in the future. About the location

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
