  • "A lovely property with plenty of room for the 8 of us as we have been here before."

Some of the settees and mattresses could do with an upgrade and we found that not all bedding as protecters on. The insides of the radiators need a desperate clean as this prevents them from working efficiently as there is no tumble dryer to dry clothes. Would stay again with easy access to the town and beach with plenty of places to eat to suit all pockets.

  • "We felt that the parking at the back was not adequately described, you could only park a small car in there."

The Wi-Fi was very poor , I know this maybe down to the area but the description of facilities says broadband. I think maybe the owners should get a booster. There was a smell and feel of of damp about the property. We still had a good time but feel these things needed mentioning.

  • "A fantastic week in a lovely home."

The property is ideally situated and only a short stroll down to the harbour. We enjoyed it so much that we've already booked for next year!

  • "Fabulous property that we've stayed at many times before."

Went for golf week with some friends and loved the cleanliness, convenience and comfort of the property. Would be wonderful for families and just a few minutes walk to the centre of Weymouth. Great base for any kind of holiday.

  • "The house was big enough and very comfortable."

Except for the matrass in one bedroom. We complained and the problem was soon resolved. However, I feel that such a matrass should never have been put there in the first place. The house could have been cleaner.

  • "Great location and a lovely sized house, we would definitely come back and stay here!"

The house is spacious and kitchen is full equipped & the pool table is a great addition! The only small negative comments we can make was that the small wheelie bin was half full still on arrival, so with 7 of us staying in the property it didn’t take long for the bin to then become full and bags were having to be left on the floor beside it. We like to use our own bed linen so when stripping the beds we noticed a few pillows were stained with blood etc so therefore I suggest these are replaced.

  • "The internet is terrible and my autistic son was not happy as he uses his laptop to clam himself."

It sounds like homeowner is more concerned about people using the internet for work. The smaller double bedroom, the bed is too low. There was black hairs on the floor of downstairs toilet, also the toilet brush was covered in shit and loo paper, disgusting!

  • "Lovely cottage in an excellent location ."

Beautiful big bedrooms and very clean. Plenty of kitchen items of all kinds. My only suggestion would be for more wardrobes as it sleeps 8 and a smart television would be great but neither of these made a difference to us having wonderful holiday. Lovely weather was an added bonus.

  • "Ideal for a large family, what is missing is a clothes dryer."

There are folding steel wire drying frames provided, but inadequate in inclement weather. The one feature that lets down the whole property is inadequate drying facilities.

In the information pack inside the house it said there was a tumble dryer at the property but there wasn’t and the property could do with having a washing line outside, there were plenty of pegs and two airers but a line would have been handy

  • "Really great family home for a week in Weymouth."

A couple of people had commented on the tight parking at the rear of the property which was useful, our xc40 just about fitted anything bigger would not. Two of us needed to purchase softer pillows as the pillows are very hard. Minor stuff though, the house was spotless, kitchen well equipped, pool table great addition Located 5 min walk from Brewers Quay and 15 min walk to sandy beaches Would definitely return

  • "Stayed here before so knew what to expect & not disappointed."

Only minor thing, we find the master bed a little hard. That said going again later in the year

  • "House was lovely and spacious."

Bedrooms were a good size and kitchen was excellent. Parking space outside house was fine as well. Had a fantastic holiday and was our first holiday since covid started.

  • "Accommodation acceptable, but quite utilitarian and basic."

Kitchen well equipped but be aware no basic food stuff at all ( no salt / pepper / oil for example) Lots of road noise in the front bedroom. Takes a long time to heat up. 2nd parking space is not really big enough to be called a parking space!

  • "Nice house close to town and harbour."

No issues except 2 bedrooms have no wardrobe for hanging clothes and car parking both at front and rear very tight and requires a lot of manovering, otherwise enjoyed our stay.

  • "The holiday house was just what we required has a family of 5 adults."

The downstairs toilet was excellent for my mum with restricted mobility. The living room and kitchen were of a size to easily accommodate 5 adults. Bedrooms and bathrooms were superb. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet, we slept with the bedroom windows open. We would certainly consider returning to this property and using Dream-Cottages again.

We parked our car at the front (difficult but do able) the people we were on holiday with parked around the back and the people living next door reversed into their car (new car only had six weeks). The space around the back requires sorting out

  • "Was a very nice house with plenty of room for all."

The rear parking space is slightly difficult to manoeuvre if the other spaces are taken. Internet a bit iffy at times. The only real concern is the damp musty smell from the conservatory, particularly after rain! We had a great family break & would definitely stay here again!

    Reviewed by MartinSep 2019

  • "We enjoyed our stay at the house, very clean and tidy, short walk to harbour and places to eat."

the rooms were a good size. The car parking at rear of the house is tight, we would suggest the over hanging tree is cut back, to avoid making contact with the car roof. Just a few minor comments re waste, the bin outside is a good size but with no green bin for bottles /cans etc, the bin was full by Thursday, I believe either a green bin should be supplied or a further bin.

If I’m being nit picky we could have done with a tumble dryer a 10 month old baby makes a lot of washing which isn’t always easy to get dry. Very handy for centre of weymouth and all that weymouth has to offer for all ages. Great holiday thanks

About the location

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
