  • "We found this to be a nicely presented and clean property in a quiet neighbourhood, with the allocated parking space very handy."

    We liked the location as it was only about 10 minutes walk to the harbour, 5 minutes to the co-op and the bus stop was also close by. We liked the spacious lounge with comfy sofas. There’s a little problem with the TV in that BBC channels constantly break up. So we watched via iPlayer. The main bedroom is a nice size, however the twin bedded room is rather small and a bit of a squeeze for two people. We found only two hand towels. For four people one per person should really be supplied. The kitchen is quite small but we managed ok. A spotlight above the kettle kept going on and off. The freezer door screws are very loose. The kettle was very chalky, we descaled it but maybe this should be checked more regularly. The kitchen is not too badly equipped however we did cook some meals here and found these items missing. A slotted spoon, a wooden spoon and tongs. Also some pint glasses would be a nice addition. There are a couple of items we feel need replacing. The frying pan has a very loose handle and very scratched and the washing up bowl very cracked. The mirror light in the bathroom isn’t working. Some maintenance on the sash windows is required as some are very stiff to open and some won’t open at all. Having said all that, with a few easy improvements it is a property we would recommend and be happy to return to. And thankyou for supplying these items. Pint of milk, a few teabags, coffee sachets, biscuits, washing up liquid, dish sponge and T towel. Much appreciated.

    Thank you for your very useful feedback and also for leaving some of your comments in a note at the flat. Because of this, we were able to replace both the frying pan and the washing up bowl during the changeover period. We will look into adding some extra kitchen utensils and inspecting the kettle more often. We will also take a look at the television as it is only a few months old, so shouldn’t be causing any problems. We note your comment re the number of hand towels and will discuss this with our housekeeper so that more are left in future. We are very pleased that you found our flat to be well presented and clean, and that you appreciated both the location and the complimentary items!
