  • "Just back from a wonderful stay at this lovely house."

An amazing welcome basket when we arrived, the house was spotless and the location incredible.

Thank you so much. We are thrilled you enjoyed it and look forward to welcoming you again. Property Owner

  • "A perfect place to stay."

The property was bright and airy and clean. The house was situated close to all the places you would want to visit when staying in Weymouth, Chesil Beach, Portland Bill, Corfe Castle… I could go on! The beach was a real bonus. So close and so clean. Really handy that we could take the outdoor chairs down to the beach too. That was an unexpected bonus at the house. I and my family would definitely recommend Castle Cove View.

  • "The house was brilliant, spotless!"

We had no issues with the TV. The hamper was extra special and a lovely touch. Thanks for the warning about the building site as it was noisy and congested at times, glad we were out of season otherwise it would have been a major issue. The only issue we had was the amount of bird muck we had on the car each day from parking in the allocated spot. We had to clean the car each day so we could see to drive.

Thank you for your comments, and we are glad you found the house clean and welcoming. We are sorry you were there when the building work was so busy. Hopefully the more major work will be over soon. The developer is working fast to get it done, but of course it is all out of our control..... as are the birds too! It seems to depend when we are there - perhaps the coming Spring made them more annoying! We are sorry they were such a nuisance. Property Owner

Great for our party of 4 and 2 dogs with the beach opposite and walks at the back of the property. Great New Year with a winter swim thrown in

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed it and were able to enjoy a swim too - very brave! We hope to see you return sometime soon. Property Owner

  • "The following is intended as suggestions for improvement rather than complaints as we were very satisfied with the property, especially as we know the area."

There are three areas which would benefit from attention: 1. The TV in the upstairs bedroom did not work. The owners are aware but this needs attention. The main TV was served by Freesat and the program selection was inadequaute. We would suggest investment in one of the new Sky Glass sets which do notmrequire an external dish but are internet connected. 2. The windows were badly in need of cleaning, both inside and out. We appreciate that with the building work in Old Castle Road there is a lot of dust about but again this needds attention. 3. The groundfloor shower has signs of mould which need attention. I was able to remove some but it may need fresh application of sealant. Otherwise the property was of the high standard we have always had from you and we look forward to seing you again soon!

Thank you for your valuable feedback and pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have passed your comments over to the owner who will be addressing all your issues raised. We look forward to welcoming you back to Dream Cottages again soon. Property Owner

  • "TV reception poor in lounge with no BBC."

In bedroom TV not working.. Only one toilet roll per bedroom and one black bin bag not enough for weeks holiday. The location was brilliant, beach on doorstep. We had a great holiday and would recommend.

  • "I stayed at Castle Cove View for a week early June with my family and 2 year old son."

The house completely exceeded my expectations, it was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean throughout with soaps, cleaning products and dishwasher tablets provided. The view from the lounge window across the sea towards Portland is beautiful. The bedroom on the top floor is huge with a lovely en suite and space to put up a travel cot. There was a stair gate on the middle floor which was really helpful for us. We cannot fault anything about the property thank you so much Sue and Tim.

  • "We loved Castle Cove."

Everything was excellent from the stylish decor to the comfy bed and forceful shower and the plentiful supply of kitchen equipment. The views across to Portland from the first and second floor were lovely and the pretty courtyard a sun trap in the afternoon. A nice pub round the corner and moments from the coast path as well as a short walk to the old harbour with plentiful pubs and restaurants makes it an excellent location. Having dedicated off road parking is also great.

About the location

CASTLE COVE

Castle Cove is a firm favourite with locals, sitting along side the Rodwell trail area, Castle Cove Beach is usually uncrowded, and offers safe bathing from it’s gently sloping shoreline. There are two main beach areas, Castle Cove, new steps to the beach opened early in 2019, and Sandsfoot beach, both with soft golden sand and the vibe of the best kept secret. Sandsfoot castle is just two minutes’ walk from the beach where you will find castle ruins, pretty award-winning gardens and a small café, offering snacks, drinks and ice-creams. Accessed off Old Castle Road in Weymouth, this area is a real treat for those who want to be away from the buzz and bright lights of the traditional Weymouth Seafront, and yet close enough to venture there when they choose. When you are on the beach you could be forgiven for thinking you are miles from town, and yet you are only a 15-20 minute walk from the old Harbour and access to Weymouth town centre. If you want to know where the locals would recommend you spend your beach days, then Castle Cove and Sandsfoot beaches are it.
