“Lovely traditional thatched cottage with modern conveniences.”

Walking distance to pub and cafe and close to South West Coastal path. Helpful caretaker who quickly resolved for the one query we had. Lovely area, a nice peaceful break. Stayed March 2018

The property

This modern thatched cottage is nestled in West Lulworth just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Lulworth Cove on the Dorset Coast.

It is perfect for a romantic retreat or a small family.

After a day of walking and exploring the coast the inglenook fireplace is perfect to light to warm up and relax while enjoying an evening drink whilst snuggling up on the sofa.

The contemporary kitchen is ideal for preparing wonderful meals which can be enjoyed in the dining room by the fire.

There is one en-suite bedroom on the ground floor and a further en-wuite bedroom on the Upper floor.

Little Forge benefits from a contemporary bright interior with pale wood flooring and modern furnishings.

West Lulworth is the ideal village to visit to enjoy a traditional Dorset holiday.

You will pass local pubs and restaurants, ideally located for a spot of lunch while walking to Lulworth Cove beach from Little Forge.

Why not pop into the ice-cream shop or seafood shack (all seasonal) for an on the move treat?

The beach is perfect for enjoying the sun and coastal views, you could take a Jurassic Kayak Tour whilst on holiday; depending on the day you may see birds of prey, jelly fish and be shown rock side pools and fossils.

There are many options for both coastal or country walks, or a combination of the two, as walking in this area is wonderful with the stunning views.

Nearby visitor attractions include Monkey World and The Tank Museum both which are acclaimed and worth a visit if you are looking for day out.

Returning after an adventurous day out enjoy eating alfresco on the rear patio in the summer or have a glass of something warming cosying up on the sofa in the winter.

About the location

West Lulworth

West Lulworth boasts some of the most dramatic geological features on the Jurassic coast line and arguably the most photographed locations in the UK. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door sit at the heart of this area and really are a must see. Lulworth Cove has many little café’s and beach side shacks serving local seafood, ice cream and other delights, as well as several restaurants and pubs from which to choose. There is an Lulworth estate information centre which offers an insight into how the cove and Durdle door were formed and Jurassic history of the region. If you tire of Cove and cliff top walks then Lulworth Castle is a short drive away and offers another glimpse at some more recent history, along with Tyneham Village, and Corfe Castle. This is a really special area and the village retains a lot of it’s thatched cottages and has a real air of a rural retreat.
