"Awful place had to ask for extra pots , the toilet upstairs and the sink kept on making loud noises in the night despite not being used affecting my guests sleep , some basic things were missing like kitchen tools had to again ask for this to be sent which to give the people managing the property did within hours of me asking."
The kitchen was so small no more than one person could cook in there. The property was advertised for 6 it could barely manage 4, need curtains due to sunlight entering the rooms early morning especially in the downstairs bedroom , Would not recommend at all and it was not cheap over £1400 for the week .
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your stay did not fully meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The kitchen size is accurately shown and described in the listing photos and description, and it is intended for light to moderate self-catering rather than multiple people cooking at once. The property is advertised as suitable for up to six guests, which aligns with the available sleeping arrangements, although we appreciate that comfort levels can be subjective.
Regarding kitchen equipment, additional items were requested during your stay and were delivered within a few hours. It is also important to note that several kitchen utensils were left dirty on departure, which required extensive additional cleaning. Additionally, stained bedding was left behind, also necessitating extra cleaning before the next guests could arrive.
With regard to the bathroom noise, the upstairs toilet is a macerator system, which is the only suitable option for an upstairs bathroom in this property. As is typical with macerator toilets, some noise is produced when the toilet is flushed or when the bathroom tap is running. Following your comments, the system has since been checked by a qualified electrician and confirmed to be operating correctly and without fault.
As for sunlight in the downstairs bedroom, the window placement and natural light are clearly visible in the listing photos; however, we will take your comment regarding curtains into consideration for future improvements.
We always aim to provide clear, accurate listings and respond promptly to guest needs. While we regret that the property did not meet your personal expectations given the price paid, we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve.

"We had a fantastic and relaxing week at Chickerell House!"
Very clean and spacious and a great base for seeing the sights of Weymouth and Portland.
The house was just as described in the listing. Great to have the upstairs toilet - didn’t really get bothered by any noise either made.

"The property was great, had everything needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there."
I would give 9 out of 10 and it would have been a ten if there were normal mattresses on the beds. I found the ones there way to soft. A long handle squeegee in the shower would be good to.

"Only a two night stay but enjoyed the house and immediate area, short golfing break with some nice courses nearby."
Didn't really use the kitchen facilities as we ate out, can confirm the kettle works though. Only two points that I would raise, down stairs toilet needs fixing to the floor, and a charging point for EV's would be an extra booking feature for many.

"Lovely holiday home providing a great base for visiting Weymouth centre and surrounding areas."
Well equipped and had everything you would need. En-suite toilet was loud but as no children in the next room wasn’t a problem. Next door but one to a pub. Overall a great place to stay.
Thank you Lisa for your fantastic feedback. We have certainly put a lot of thought and hard work into our holiday home so it’s lovely when it’s recognised. Hope to welcome you back

"Nice place , worked out ok."
The toilet upstairs was a bit noisy especially at night . Apart from that , we enjoyed our stay.
Thank you Ron for your lovely feedback. Pleased our Holiday home worked well for you all. The upstairs toilet we felt was better to have than not have. The Macerator toilet was the only option available for us to opt for. We appreciate it can be noisy but as stated above better to have the option then not.

"Really clean and spacious property close to amenities making it a great place to stay."
We weren’t sure if there was a freezer as couldn’t see it mentioned but there is a separate fridge and freezer making it easy to cater, lots of convenient takeaways or you can eat out.
The beds were a little bit soft and the springs a bit creaky but we slept ok. Unfortunately due to extremely heavy rain, we had a leak in the conservatory roof, luckily not near the bed or any of our belongings. We informed the lovely owner straight away and they are contacting the company who only recently did it.
Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

"Step into downstairs bedroom is quiet a deep drop, upstairs toilet wasn’t working ,didn’t realize no back garden for the dog the patio outside the front of the house felt a little uncomfortable about cctv looking at use when sat on the patio."
Couldn’t find the Control to work the shower then realized it wasn’t in the bathroom as it had fallen off the wall in the shower cubicle it was on the shelf by the front door not where you would expect to fine this .
Hi Linda, I am pleased you had a lovely stay and thank you for your feedback. I’m also glad I was able to help you over the telephone initially when we identified the shower controller had fallen off the wall and been placed near the front door. You were also assisted by Andrew at Dreams who personally came to visit you. Please accept my apologies regarding the upstairs toilet. I have also reviewed the listing and can confirm at the time of your booking we had advised; Enclosed front courtyard garden with astro turfed area and patio and Note: There is one step up to the ground-floor bedroom, please take care and there is signage in the living room on the door before the step to advise of the step. We hope to welcome you back in the future and thank you for staying at Chickerell House.

"The property had obviously been fitted out with care having extensive and good quality fixtures and equipment."
There is ample private parking. It is in a quiet neighbourhood a little way from the seafront but by no means inconvenient being within walking distance and easily accessible by car or bus. We had a most comfortable stay there and felt that it was good value.
Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
