    The decor was lovely and the cleanliness was great. It would however have been nice to have a welcome pack available on arrival to include things such as bread and milk. The only thing that marred the holiday was the on-site car parking facility which was difficult to drive in given the very tight cornering and would only realistically accommodate small cars. Not being able to park here would mean having to park in one of the nearby car parks which could get expensive over the course of the stay given no agreement seems to have been made with other car park owners for reduced price/free parking. There is a car parking permit left for you to use but the car parks seem to be for use to visit local attractions rather than for 'permanent' overnight parking. As such most permit locations are quite a walk from the apartment. There are strict rules left in the apartment and can come across as quite regimented and maybe even a little condescending. All that said we did have a great holiday, just a shame about the parking.

Step into the spacious sitting/dining room, where the large patio doors flood natural light into the space and allow you to watch the boats float in the marina from the comfort of the leather couch.

Flick on the Smart TV to catch up on the latest box set or open up the patio doors to spend some time out on the balcony, with a glass of wine in hand, as you admire the sun setting.

Return indoors to find the kitchen, which is fully-equipped to cater to your culinary needs, with the added benefit of a handy dishwasher and a washing machine to serve as a helping hand whilst on holiday.

Once the sun has fully set, look forward to catching your rest in one of the two bedrooms, comprising of the master suite with a sumptuous king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room, and the twin bedroom enjoys a lovely vanity unit and fitted wardrobes, with enough space for hanging your holiday belongings.

For those special occasions or for when you simply do not feel like cooking, find a plethora of takeaways, pubs and restaurants within striking distance of the penthouse.

Alternatively, meander around the farmers’ market to pick up some of the finest local produce to take back to the apartment to cook up and visit the independent Palmer’s Brewery to find the perfect tipple to accompany your home-cooked dishes.

As well as being a superb foodie scene, the town plays host to a plethora of family-friendly attractions, including SEA LIFE Adventure Park, the glorious beach with watersport opportunities and Sandworld.

Delve into the past by visiting Nothe Fort and the Tudor House Museum, or venture slightly further afield to Jordan Hill Roman Temple.

Those feeling more active, can walk across the 18-mile long Chesil Beach towards the rugged “Isle” of Portland or you could walk part of the long distance South West Coastal Path to uncover more hidden coves and beautiful beaches!

At the end of each exciting day, return to Harbourside Haven Penthouse 1 to unwind.
