• "The property was as advertised, it was clean and comfortable."

  And a good location. The only drawback was the key safe is very difficult to operate, particularly when it’s pouring with rain and one is tired. My wife found that the shower was too slippery to use. An anti-slip mat would solve that problem.

  A very comfortable stay and the hosts Mike and Cara were very attentive and helpful of all our needs. I would v highly recommend Royal Terrace View to anyone wishing to visit Weymouth

• "We enjoyed our break at Royal Terrace with the location being particularly good for access to all that Weymouth has to offer."

  The accommodation was reasonably comfortable and very clean. Having travelled for several hours we had hoped to find some milk to make a brew having read previous reviews but sadly we were left disappointed, still this is just a minor detail. Whilst there was an expectation to keep the property clean we couldn’t find any equipment apart from a small handbrush and pan but we managed ok. The property was well equipped but we feel anything over a week would be difficult as there are no facilities to do any laundry or wash the 2 towels that were provided. Car parking can be tricky but the owners provided good details on where to try and find spaces. There are lots of places to eat and drink within minutes of the apartment and local buses stop right outside so it is easy to leave your car and explore the surrounding areas. The beach is right across the road from apartment which was great thanks to the excellent weather we experienced. Overall apart from the minor details mentioned this is a great place to stay and enjoy a nice holiday in Weymouth.

  Dear David, Thank you for the recent feedback you provided on your stay at Royal Terrace View. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and had fabulous weather. Milk isn’t provided but as we were visiting the property ourselves we thought it would be a nice touch to leave some on this occasion. As we aren’t local it isn’t something that we can facilitate on a regular basis but there are several shops within a few minutes walk from the apartment. We don’t require our guests to clean the property whilst enjoying their stay as a full clean is undertaken on departure by our wonderful cleaner Michelle. All we ask is that the property is respected by people covering the sofas and removing their shoes. A washing machine isn’t listed in the property particulars but we do provide our guests with two bath towels, two hand towels and two tea towels. There are launderettes within the town should you wish to wash any personal items. We are pleased you found the parking information provided within the welcome pack useful. The apartment enjoys spectacular views towards the beach and the bonus of having a bus stop within easy reach is perfect should you wish to leave the car and hop on the bus to explore the wonderful areas Dorset has to offer. • "Very nicely furnished appartment with a great outlook over the Weymouth seafront."

  Bed and sofas are very comfortable and plenty of storage space for a couple. Smart TVs in Lounge and Bedroom and a grandstand view of the Monday night fireworks during the summer season.

• "A lovely apartment in an ideal setting overlooking the promenade."

  It has been well fitted out and has a nice light airy feel with fantastic views. The owners are very helpful and left some coffee pods and milk ready for our arrival, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

• "We much appreciated the cleanliness of the attractive apartment, which overlooks the Weymouth sea front."

  Royal Terrace View makes a great base for exploring Weymouth and surrounding areas. Although there is no parking on site, we were content to leave our car in a nearby car park for the week and decided to use the buses which go directly from outside the building to all the attractions we were interested in. We had no need to use the cooking facilities as there are many restaurants to choose from and that helped to make our holiday a real break. Mike was very pleasant to talk to on the phone and he and Cara, had put together a very helpful information file regarding the property, car park locations and tourist information. We returned home feeling refreshed.

• "Spotlessly clean, fully equipped and bigger than it looks in the photos—plenty of room."

  I used this as a base for walking the coast, with a couple of days between just relaxing in town, and the location is perfect—slap-bang in the centre, a short stroll from the beach, shops, rail station, etc. Quite a view from the living room too, a lovely spot.

• "Loved the location with its sea views."

  I'm a people watcher so chose the apartment because of this! It is on second floor and has stairs up to it. There are apartments above and below it and gift shop on ground floor. Very central for beach , town and harbour and marina. Spotlessly clean, decor was modern and luxurious. All mod cons , shower was amazing . TV was top of range and added bonus of tv in bedroom. Kitchen was fully equipped , again brand new and modern. The colour scheme of grey and silver ran through to the crockery too. Coffee machine was a bonus. Tea, coffee sachets of milk and sugar were provided as was selection of condiments.Luxurious thick throws were provided to keep sofas clean. Loved the mirrorred style of coffee table, dressing table , bedside cabinets and wardrobe. Everything matched and lots of thought had gone into it. Lots of hangers provided for clothes and ironing board in hallway if needed. Hairdryer stored in wardrobe, saves packing one. The bed linen was crisp and white and pillows thick and bouncy. Heating was easy to control. Key lock was easy to operate. Welcome pack provided with operating instructions for all appliances as well as maps and leaflets on local attractions. Shops and cafes on doorstep. Bus stops right outside and timetables in welcome folder. Overall, we were absolutely delighted with the apartment. Communication by text from Mike was brilliant, very informative with a personal touch. I was confident that if I needed anything at all, he would guide and advise. I have already shared the details of this apartment with my friends and will definitely be looking to rebook soon. Thank you Mike.

• "We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Terrace."

  The appartment was spotless and decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook but you are only minutes away from a large choice of pubs and restaurants in the centre of Weymouth. The view over the bay is amazing but it comes at a cost, 42 stairs up to the flat , but worth it. You can park for 24hrs for £6 just 3 minutes walk away in Royal Yard carpark. Mike the owner contacted us before we left with clear directions and again when we arrived to make sure all was OK. We would recommend it to anyone.

• "By far, this is the best holiday accommodation my wife and I have stayed in within the last 10-years!"

  This sea view apartment has been renovated to an extremely high standard. All fixtures, fittings and decor are of top quality, helping to create a really luxurious and spacious place to stay, unwind and relax. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. Although we tended to eat out most evenings (we are keen ‘foodies’ and there are so many great places to try out around the harbour), we did cook for ourselves on occasions and found we had all the utensils we needed for cooking. The welcome pack which has been thoughtfully provided by the hosts, offers useful information on the apartment to maximise all the accommodation affords, as well as what to see and do in the local area. Although there is no private parking spaces, there are a number of local car parks within easy walking distance so this is not a problem. The apartment is perfectly located to explore Weymouth and the surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed wandering the lanes surrounding the harbour as well as the park and grounds of Nothe fort and Bennetts Water Gardens (a really hidden gem). A boat trip out into the bay and round to Portland harbour helped to show off the wonderful Jurassic coastline … as well as a welcomed sea breeze when the heat become a little too intense! Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are a short drive away and well worth a visit. We’re already considering when we will return for another stay.

• "The apartment was fabulous."

  It was of an extremely high standard, with absolutely every eventuality considered and covered. When we stayed, the weather turned extremely hot and I contacted the owner and within a couple of hours we had a superb fan supplied.
