  • "Extremely DISAPPOINTED with our stay!"

! The property is in a good location and the actual unit has potential, but the cleanliness was simply not acceptable. The place was infested with spiders and there were traces of human hair throughout. The cutlery and crockery were stained and in poor condition. Despite only having two showers, we completely ran out of hot water and had to wait several hours before it was available again. We booked for three nights, yet only a very limited amount of towels and linen were provided, which was disappointing. It’s a real shame because the property itself is decent, but it needs much more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. For over £400 for three nights, I would expect a professional cleaner to give the property a proper, thorough clean between guests. The outside area also needs attention. The shrubbery should be cut back, as it appears to be attracting flies, bees, spiders and other insects. Please have a look at the inner edges of the window in the bathroom, infested with dead spiders that have been crushed for a while now. Hopefully the owner/management will take this feedback seriously, as with better cleaning and maintenance this could be a much better place to stay.

I am so sorry to read this review. It is a shame as we live next door and could’ve been made aware at the time. There’s also 24/7 access to property management for any issues. The property is cleaned by professionals after each stay. For 2 people, 4 towels we would have thought would have sufficed especially for 3 nights. As for shrubbery - we only have 2 rose bushes and geraniums so unsure which “shrubbery” you’re referring to. It is the heat of summer so we can’t do much about insects outdoors. As for hot water, the book in the kitchen explains how to top up the water tank. Again, if you reached out to myself or property management we could’ve assisted. Property Owner

  • "Me and my other half stayed here for a week, I'd say nice modern apartment with everything you need, outside little garden with table and 2 chairs."

As someone said in the review about the Bus service you can get a bus to town centre but we chose to walk in to the town centre took us about 15-20 minutes to walk, on getting back to the property we got a taxi from the town centre which costs you £5.90 so we got one back all week, if you want to get fish and chips you have to go to bennetts it's the best one in Weymouth and pretty cheap too, but yeah lots to do like boat trips we went on speed boat trip his name is sunny and is opposite bennetts and is a brown wooden boat, sunny really knowledgeable quite reasonable price. Anyway we had a great holiday and we would highly recommend

Thank you so much for your review. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. And yes, the bus route has been back in service this year but it’s a nice walk into town as well. Property Owner

  • "Overall, a pleasant stay in a quiet location."

Clean, new and well presented. A couple of niggles: kitchen area ceiling light bulb not working from arrival, no bread knife supplied, gate needs lifting.

Thank you for the feedback. We’ll look to lift the gate and add a bread knife for the kitchen. Appreciate the heads up about the ceiling light as well. Property Owner

  • "The Hide-a-way is a very nice property to stay at if you are looking for a quiet place to stay."

Very clean and well kept, everything you need is there. The only downside for us was that we were relying on using the bus service to get to town and back, but found out that the bus service for that road had been cancelled by the council, so I had to drive all the time and parking in town can be difficult and expensive. Apart from that we enjoyed our time there, but because of that reason we would not return.
