2 Fleet Street is the perfect abode for a family getaway to explore the rural Galloway Hills and Solway Coast.

The property rests on a thriving town road, welcoming you inside into a quaint porch where you can store coats and boots after a day of exploration.

Stepping through, you'll find a gorgeous living/dining room, boasting characterful features throughout oak beams, seating, glossy tiled flooring, and quirky blue walls, the ideal space to lounge in front of the TV and enjoy meals on the dining table.

Peak into the kitchen through a unique hatch hole in the wall before stepping in and making full use of amenities, equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a washing machine.

An alternative dining arrangement can be found outside in the enclosed garden; here you can let your furry friends run around the lawn as you enjoy a spot of alfresco dining on a summer's day on the patio.

Once the sun has set, head upstairs to one of the beautifully presented bedrooms, comprising a double and a twin, both with ample storage and cute features.

Serving the rooms is a sleek bathroom where you can choose to unwind in a hot bubble bath, or relax in a soothing shower.

Get to know your local area and roam around the local town, home to a wealth of shops for you to stock up on essentials, as well as cafés, restaurants, and welcoming pubs for when you fancy a night away from the kitchen.

Explore the surrounding fleet valley national scenic area with a rural choice of dog walking, cycling, hiking, and local attractions at the Galloway Forest Park and Garries Park.

Visit the 'Artists' Town' of Kirkcudbright which boasts frequent national art exhibitions, whilst the bustling town of Castle Douglas is a great spot for retail therapy with a wealth of independent boutique and high street shops.

Alternatively, spend a day discovering seaside resorts along the Solway Coast for days out on sandy beaches, trying out watersports, or relaxing fishing days.

The property was quite dark in lounge area had to have lights on even in day.

I thought there was a log fire to use but it was decoration only. The fully enclosed garden was great but unfortunately it was down a path from back door and very dark at night .The entry to back door was from the street so had to put dog on lead to take to garden. The double bedroom was quite small you could only get in bed on one side although it was very comfortable. We did enjoy our stay in great position on high Street.Pub over road was brilliant.

Very disappointed that the advertised back garden area was very overgrown and therefore unusable.

Had difficulty opening the front door.

Terrible draught under the back door. Needs a draught excluder, can see daylight underneath door. Realise the property is up for sale, but it could do with some TLC. The property is ideally situated for visiting all the surrounding areas.
