The house is located in tranquil countryside, it's spacious and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner really has thought of everything; from a fully stocked kitchen including cooking sauces and even a complimentary bottle of milk in the fridge. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

"A fantastic property set in large grounds."
A really spacious house that provided plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 children. The house is modern and very clean.
The owner encouraged us to make dens in the woods and the children enjoyed riding their bikes and playing football in the garden.
A trip to Portpatrick is recommended and the fabulous Culzean Castle up the coast is well worth a day trip.
Would definitely recommend this property to others!

"What an incredible experience."
The property is enormous, impeccably clean, well equipped, stunning views from the first floor, vast gardens surrounding the property even including woodland!
Our family very much enjoyed our stay and we will definately recommend this place to all our friends and family. The value for money is also worth commenting on! We used this as a base to travel to Ayr (~1 hour drive), we used the swimming pool with the kids in the main town too (~10 min drive) and went to the splended Logan botanic gardens.
It was so nice we asked to stay an extra night and didn't want to leave :)

"A lovely house with everything you could want to help make your stay enjoyable."
We thoroughly enjoyed the garden and all the wildlife, treated to a visit from a red squirrel, a deer, numerous rabbits and pheasants, along with lots of small birds visiting the bird table. It is a nice quiet area with some lovely places to visit, if you are looking for a relaxing time it is ideal.

"We had a great two week stay and a lovely time in this amazing house."
The house has everything you could wish for and is very comfortable and spotless. Graham is a great host and available if you need anything. The pictures do not do it justice. Saw red squirrels , deer , hares , rabbits , pheasants , wood peckers & a plethora of birds all in the garden. Great to have a gas BBQ as well. Our fourth visit to the area and our 21st visit to Scotland and one of the best houses we have stayed in. Close to places to visit like Port Logan, Aldouran Wetlands & woodland walk , Mull of Galloway , Girvan Beach , Sandhead , Isle of Whithorn & Port William. Portpatrick is a must for views and food If you have kids , Agnew Park in Stranraer is great , lots to do , it’s free and the Driftwood Cafe is lovely . We will definitely be back. Thanks again.

"The property had some maintenance and cleaning issues."
We found a food carton under the bed, a sewing needle sticking out of the lounge carpet, cracked door shelf in the fridge, rusty soap rack in the shower, the kettle and chopping boards need replacing as they are dirty, also the dish drainer rack had mould underneath it. The fridge needs a deep clean. there was dried urine on the toilet seat hinges and downstairs shower has mould around the sealer and soap scum along the edges of the door, upstairs shower strip needs removing and cleaning. the skirtings and back of downstairs bathroom door was very dusty, hall floor had not been washed. We contacted the owner, he said that as the property is used alot there isn't time to do a thorough clean on the fridge as it will take an hour to do, I think that seven hours between guests is plenty of time to do a deep clean on the whole property !

"The cottage was perfect."
A true home from home. Warm and cosy and spotlessly clean with the most comprehensive array of kitchen equipment you could ever need. Loved watching the red squirrels, woodpeckers, pheasants, finches and tits that seem to have taken up permanent residence in the garden. We were even lucky enough to see 4 deer wander through the garden-wonderful. Many thanks to Graham for allowing us to stay for 9 days to include my birthday without charging some of the exorbitant fees others wanted for anything outside 7 or 14 days even out of season. Had we had any problems Graham was always on hand without being intrusive in any way.
