We had a great stay at The Barn, it really felt like a home from home.

It is very well equipped and is beautifully presented. The cottage was very warm and cosy, and exceptionally clean. We had some very stormy weather but the cottage was a perfect place to hide away with a roaring fire and a glass of wine!!. There are some great walks to do straight from the cottage, both woodland and coastal. We will definitely be back.

This property is very difficult to access.

I was very worried that my car would be damaged going up the terrible driveway. It needs work doing on it. The shower room/bathroom needs a new shower. Having an overhead shower which is not removable from its support forces the user to have a full shower every day. Not being able to wash various parts of the body separately is not easy for older people. The toilet seat needs replacing. I found a set of screwdrivers and was able to tighten it up, but it was beginning to move again when we left. This was dangerous. I was worried my husband may have an accident. The garden is very pleasant. A bit strange accessing it through the bedroom, but that was not really a problem. However, I would suggest that a gate is placed at the top of the stairs for safety. I have to also add that I was impressed to find an air fryer in the property. It is the first time I have seen one in a Holiday Cottage although there are probably more around. We will not be booking this accommodation again but it was lovely to have a rest and the stars were beautiful and the peace and quiet were fantastic. I live in a rural area anyway but there is always distant noise from roads. Not having street lighting again was lovely.

We really enjoyed staying at The Barn with our two dogs.

The accommodation was surprisingly spacious for us all & very comfortable.Everywhere was very clean and the cottage had a homely feel. It was great to be able to walk directly out to Rockcliffe & around the coastal paths. We would reccomend a holiday here.
