Priory Walk

This is a wonderful house, it's like stepping into someone else's home while they were away on holiday.

It was so tastefully done and was so comfortable and well equipped and quiet. We loved all the wee bits and pieces around the house making it very unique. Whithorn is a small town with friendly people willing to have a chat and Whithorn Story is a very nice cafe with friendly staff. We would happily come back to stay in this gem of a house.

Great location. Loads of things to do in the local area. Quiet considering it's in a town. Useful having three toilets! Good sized sociable kitchen. Seating a little snug if you had 6 adults staying but fine for a larger family. Some of the kitchen utensils could do with an upgrade as could the TV. Parking a bit tight for a larger car but safe on street parking a few steps away. But these are only minor issues and didn't detract from the experience. I would definitely book again if visiting this stunning part of Scotland. Recommended

Excellent property for two or four.

Donna let me use her storage area for my bike, even though it wasn't part of the package (my fault for not reading the detail). Everything you need, and warm. Hot water on tap! Everything for the cook. The area is wonderful and varied, for the cyclist, fisherperson, walker, dreamer, bird watcher, etc. Loved it and will return. Cheers, Carl

We stayed at Priory Walk at the beginning of November.

It is beautiful! Very well equipped, lovely decor, warm, comfortable and homely. We loved it and it is one of the nicest places we've stayed.

Priory Walk is a lovely house, nicely decorated and well equipped.

It is in a quiet location and peaceful at night. The comfy bed(albeit with a very lumpy duvet) and blackout curtains ensured a good nights sleep. It was lovely coming back to a toasty warm house after a day out exploring. Whithorn has a good fish and chip/Indian takeaway and a well stocked general store. Unfortunately, the local pub shut down at the beginning of the year so the website and welcome book need updating. The nearest pub is now a drive away in the Isle of Whithorn. Like a previous guest we found the dvd player froze so we were unable to watch any of the many films provided. The door handle to the lounge kept coming off in our hands. We also feel that the non stick pans need replacing as the non stick surface is coming off and is a bit of a health hazard. More teaspoons are also required. The welcome pack was a little disappointing compared to others we have had in the past. However, these are little niggles and we would certainly recommend staying here to explore the area.

We had a great stay at Priory Walk.

This is our second time staying here and would recommend it. It was a very relaxing, comfortable and quiet stay. Handy for visiting Wigtown and Isle of Whithorn etc. Hope to visit again.

Nice cosy cottage usefully placed for exploring the area.

Comfy bed and we enjoyed the slanty floor upstairs ! I do feel it would be pretty tight for 6 adults ( at least one person would not have a seat on the sofa) despite sleeping 6. Largely well equiped but needs new utensils and baking trays

The house is so homely & well equipped as well as being well maintained & tastefully decorated.

Everything was easy to operate like the cooker, showers & dishwasher as sometimes one needs an engineering or science degree to use these! Heating was already set & that met our needs too. The location is ideal & it was so central yet still quiet and peaceful at night. Couldn't fault it & hope to return . This was our second visit to this Gorgeous cottage in a lovely quiet town the cottage was very clean and extremely comfortable , had just about everything you needed although use of the washing machine would have been useful.

The Tv & DVD player worked but kept freezing and at times were unwatchable maybe just a signal fault though. The cottage has a lovely peaceful & relaxing atmosphere and is in a good position for exploring the lovely surrounding areas.Had a few lovely evening walks in the fields across from the cottage and saw lots of different birds and quite a few deer . Would highly recommend and would definitely go back again .

Beautiful property located in the quaint town of Whithorn.

Housekeeper greeted us on arrival and kindly allowed us to leave bags after a journey with 2 sick children. Cottage has everything you require, extremely comfortable beds. Fantastic water pressure, WiFi great. We particularly enjoyed the cosy log burner. Kitchen fully equipped, outdoor courtyard area very convenient to keep our dog safe. We had a fantastic stay - look no further for a perfect stay in Whithorn!

The house is so lovely and comfortable with really good quality beds and bed linens which enabled us all to have excellent sleep. The entire house is really well maintained and very clean - it is one of the nicest ones that we have stayed in. The housekeeper and owner provided a prompt and polite response to our query which was really appreciated. The housekeeper is situated in a beautiful spot within a lovely and extremely interesting village. We would not hesitate in booking again when the museum and visitors centre are open.

A wonderful, quirky cottage with lots of character and charm.

We really enjoyed our stay and loved that it is dog friendly so our family dog could join us. Close to lots of beautiful beaches. A nice welcome basket too and everything you need in the cottage. Would definitely recommend to others

Great character cottage in a beautiful place.

Spacious, clean and welcoming.

It was a joy to enter after a long drive. The centre of village location makes you feel very much part of the community. Absolutely ideal for anyone who wants to explore this region and its important links to early Christianity.

Fabulous holiday home with all the features and a beautiful decorations all among the house.

The wood burner in a living room is a must. Perfect kitchen with dining room with all the stuff you need. Parking is just outside the front door.

Thankfully the owner made us aware before our stay of the dampness of the walls in the living room due to the recent storm before arrival though it had no real impact on our stay, we appreciated the heads up and apart from that the house was wonderful.

The house was warm, inviting, clean, had lots of character and they kindly left a little gift basket for us. I cannot fault this property at all it's location was a treat as you can walk the ancient Abbey next door or walk and talk to friendly locals.The place was quiet and cosy and with it's hearth lit in an evening couldn't have had a nicer stay would highly recommend to anyone.
