Lovely Cottage - apparently a former Public House.

The only thing that we missed was a Stand Up Shower, after a days walking etc. The Traditional Free Standing Bath was however lovely.

A comfortable, cosy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay, including human and dog treats!

Wonderful walks on the doorstep in a gorgeous part of the country. Slight disappointment was the outside space, from the listing I had understood it to be a private for those staying at the cottage but it was a shared courtyard thoroughfare. Overall a great stay, would recommend. Thank you.

A cute little cottage, in a very nice village.

It is situated on quite a busy road and we parked in the lane opposite so we had a better chance of seeing oncoming traffic. Whilst the cottage was beautifully clean I have a problem with the description of an enclosed courtyard for the outdoor space. In reality there is a rear walkway behind the terrace of 5 properties which serves as a rear entrance to the houses. Yes there is a small bistro type table and two chairs pushed against the wall of the cottage but it also houses the dustbins, bikes etc from the other cottages. Whilst there is a 5 bar style gate at the entrance you are strictly told you are not allowed to have your dog off lead in this area, so there is no freedom at all for your dog, we sat out once and had Hal chained up, not ideal for a supposedly enclosed space. There are some lovely walks nearby, literally from the door you can walk to The Danes, and trips to the cliffs and beaches are just a short drive away. We were lucky that there was a “flowerpot festival” in the village while we were there so we enjoyed exploring the village to find all the installations. Overall we enjoyed our break but if you are a light sleeper be warned the church clock opposite strikes on the hour, half hour and quarters day and night so maybe pack ear plugs!
