  • "We have had a lovely relaxing weeks break in daisy Nook, the lay out was ideal for 2 adults, 2 children and grandparents, everyone had their own space and own bathrooms."

The place was well equipped with everything you need and the host was on site so any issues, they were there to deal with. She gave us some lovely places to visit and pubs to eat out at, will definitely book to stay again.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback it’s really appreciated. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Tunstall farm holiday cottages and visiting the beautiful places along this coast we would love to welcome you and your lovely family back again in the future Joanne and Andy x Property Owner

  • "From arrival and first impressions the accommodation seemed very pleasant from the outside."

Unfortunately, that's where it ended. The accommodation is filled with migraine inducing diffusers throughout which made my wife feel sick. The downstairs double bedroom carpet stinks of urine (I dropped something that fell under the bed which is how I noticed this) the mattress in the same bedroom is completely concaved, creating an uncomfortable crater on the one side making it impossible to sleep on. The WiFi that is said to be included is not fit for purpose, simply trying to watch the TV makes is impossible as it constantly says 'network error'. The place hadn't been cleaned, there was dog hair, crayons and rubbish all under the tv cabinet. The crockery and cutlery inside the cupboard wasn't clean, everything needed to be washed before using. The kitchen has a foul stench and there is no window to open. And when you use the shower in the upstairs bathroom it leaks through the light in the downstairs twin bedroom, which is obviously an ongoing issue as there are water stains on the ceiling and the shower has been shoddily sealed. We navigated this by choosing not to use the shower in that room as we weren't there for long and were spending full days out so we didn't have time address this without it eating into our time away. Disappointing stay.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are naturally disappointed to read these comments, particularly as none of these concerns were raised with us during your stay, which would have given us the opportunity to investigate and resolve any genuine issues immediately As per my holiday information guide located in the cottage with my contract number I ask guests to inform me of any issues as soon as possible, which you actually used to contact me to ask me how to use the oven which I responded to immediately and visited the cottage to show you. So I’m rather perplexed that any of the other issues were not advised to me at the time of your stay which would then have allowed me the chance to rectify them. We feel it is important to provide some context. The booking conditions require all pets to be declared and approved before arrival. Unfortunately, two cats were brought to the property without our knowledge or permission. During the stay they were left unattended in the cottage for extended periods of time 10 hours a day in fact which allowed the two cats free roam of our holiday cottage property for 10 hours resulting in damage to the curtains and we were unaware of the smell of urine on the carpet until your visit with the cats. The cats also caused a nuisance to other guests and dogs staying whilst climbing over the window sills whilst left in the cottage alone. We therefore had to make a claim against the security bond through Sykes. The guests also arrived approximately three hours before the published checkin time requesting early access, which unfortunately was not possible while the property was being prepared for arrival. We take cleanliness and maintenance very seriously and investigate every comment received. We are proud of the many positive reviews we have received from previous guests and remain committed to providing a high standard of accommodation while asking all guests to respect the property’s booking conditions Property Owner

  • "Lovely well equipped cottage in the perfect location for exploring the area."

Very quiet and peaceful. The two bathrooms are lacking a mirror, wasn’t a problem for me but other half kept asking me to buy a mirror! My first visit but I will definitely return next year.

Thank you for your lovely feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Bathrooms now have mirrors ready for your return x Property Owner

  • "Lovely property in a quiet little village."

Spacious and well appointed. Nice space for sitting outdoors listening to the birds while the children played. Views of the horses, the sea and the offshore wind farm added to the picturesque setting. We were blessed by glorious May half term weather so spent all week outdoors visiting the nearby beaches at Withernsea, Mappleton and Hornsea. We followed the nearby King Charles III path down to the beach at sands le mare which is a lovely quiet spot. A trip up to Bempton Cliffs was a highlight for our three little boys as they loved the cliff top paths with spectacular views of the sea birds! The lighthouse in Withernsea was also a memorable occasion with the whole family making it up the 144 steps to the top. We would definitely recommend this little piece of heaven for a holiday. Thank you Joanne and Andy for your hospitality.

Thank you for your lovely feedback so pleased you had a great stay with us and look forward to hopefully welcoming you back in the future x Property Owner
