  • "WOW This is one of the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in it had everything you could want and more."

    Excellent for people with disability as well. Cleaning was to a excellent standard The welcome pack was amazing thank you. The location is great for the beaches city's like Colchester and Chelmsford lovely small place like Wivenhoe and Brightlingsea. Lovely village pubs doing great home cooked food less than a mile away as well as takeaways. Thank you again for letting us stay here.

  • "This property is well equipped and immaculate."

    The bijou accommodation is perfectly suited for anyone with mobility problems, even the "garden" is a perfect space for relaxing, with a table, and chairs that fold away. The owners have added "foliage" and insects to make up for the limited outside space. A perfect location to enjoy the coastal area of Frinton, Clacton and Holland on Sea, with a small Tesco's for shopping if needed. The Welcome pack was very generous. I thoroughly recommend it.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at little haven."

    The owners provided everything that was needed and much much more. There was a lovely hamper of treats when we got there which we all loved. The bedroom was extremely comfy. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. Even juice, milk and eggs. The bathroom was great. Couldn't fault this place at all. It's a wonderful stay extremely clean and comfortable.   • "An amazing stay and wonderful and friendly owners."

    A clock on the wall would have been helpful. Overall a high standard of accommodation and on arrival the place was spotless. The owners had thought of everything and a welcomed hamper and the basics like milk and bread were appreciated. Plus things like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing tablets were provided. The place was well equipped. Very pleasing and we will come again.

The property

Little Haven is a spacious, garage conversion situated next to the owner’s home in a residential area of Kirby Cross, Essex.

Fully equipped and wheelchair-friendly, whilst being situated close to the coast, Little Haven is a superb base for a couple or small family looking to holiday in this part of Essex.

Step inside and you'll be welcomed into an open-plan living area, where you can ease into the evening and make yourself feel at home.

The kitchen has all the essentials for cooking up your favourite dishes, such as an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and there's even a washing machine and tumble dryer for freshening up your wardrobe!

The dining table is the perfect place for sharing a meal together, while the sitting area, complete with a Smart TV, is the ideal space for a movie night.

As the evening draws in, open the patio doors from the kitchen or bedroom to the rear decked garden, where you can relax at the table and chairs and think about the next adventure.

When it’s time to rest, the king size bedroom includes a sofa bed for extra guests.

Finally, the Jack-and-Jill wet room completes the accommodation, with access from both the bedroom and the living space, for extra convenience.

Further afield, take a picturesque drive to Layer Marney Tower, a stunning manor house surrounded by picture-perfect gardens, where you can pause for afternoon tea before returning to your accommodation.

The village is home to its own shopping area known as the Kirby triangle, which has two small supermarkets and various other shopping facilities, whilst there are also a number of eateries, including pubs, restaurants and takeaways. Kirby Cross Station lies on the Walton branch of the Sunshine Coast Line in the East of England, provides links throughout Essex. Bordering with Kirby Cross is Kirby-Le-Soken, an attractive and historic village dating from Saxon times, whilst further afield lies Clacton-on-Sea, the largest town on the Essex coast, offering a traditional seaside atmosphere.
