Cairndhu is a welcoming single-storey property in Muirhouses near Linlithgow, West Lothian.

The cottage boasts off road parking for 2 cars and an enclosed back garden.

Step inside to a hall that flows into a lounge/dining room with an electric fire.

There are three bedrooms across the ground floor; a king size with its own ensuite and walk in shower, a double and twin served by a spacious bathroom featuring a bath and separate shower.

The kitchen is well fitted out and also has a small seating area.

The utility room is totally separate and has a washing machine and a tumble dryer as well as a large deep freeze.

Located in a semi rural area in the village of Muirhouses, to the east of Bo’ness; a great area for sightseeing and exploring the countryside with walks along the side of the River Forth.

Bo’ness hosts the oldest running Art Deco cinema, the Bo’ness and Kinneil Steam Railway, as well as the Bo’ness Motor Museum and Kinneil House and estate, while film fans can seek out nearby Blackness Castle.

A few miles away is Linlithgow, where you can visit the Forth and Clyde Canal, St Michaels church; a historic and medieval landmark with its Crown of Thorns spire, Linlithgow Palace; the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, or simply choose to walk round the picturesque Linlithgow loch or visit The House of Binns.

Linlithgow also has frequent trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Beecraigs Country Park is a short car ride away from Muirhouses and has a vast area of parkland with red deer and Highland cattle, along with a fishing loch, play park, visitors centre and much more.

South Queensferry has lovely restaurants and great views of the road and rail bridges over the Firth of Forth.

Falkirk is close by so why not visit the Kelpies, the Helix and the Falkirk Wheel, with its ingenious boat lift and canal paths.

Further afield, Edinburgh invites cultural days on the Royal Mile, hands on exhibitions at the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle and leafy walks in Holyrood Park.
