A peaceful rural and remote location with only a handful of properties, the cottage is in an unspoilt area of the Highlands and is an ideal base from which to tour the West coast of Scotland at any time of the year, whether for walking, Munro-bagging (including the Five Sisters of Kintail), bird watching or wildlife spotting.
It is on the Cape Wrath Trail (Shiel Bridge to Strathcarron section), and close to the majestic Falls of Glomach (Britain’s highest falls).
The cottage is an excellent choice for those who wish to explore the magnificent West coast and all it has to offer.
Approach to the cottage is by single track road, 7 miles, off the main route A87.
Conveniently located just off the main road to Skye (with other villages like Dornie, Plockton and Kyle a short distance away), and offers a peaceful alternative away from the main tourist route, where guests can reconnect with the tourist route in 15 minutes.
The cottage is just eight miles from the village of Dornie whereby the world famous and much photographed, majestic Eilean Donan Castle is located (details on nearby attractions below).
The nearest main town is Kyle of Lochalsh, which boasts all amenities and is the main gateway to the Isle of Skye with stunning views of the Bridge crossing and the island.
The Highland capital of Inverness with airport and main rail links is only 78 miles away, with scenery in abundance along Loch Ness, and if you are in luck, maybe a glimpse of Nessie?
Situated next to a working croft, this is the place to revel in nature and there are plenty of amazing walks straight out of the door.
