Will definitely come back again. PS!!! Thankyou Amy, for being on there, when needed & for all the recommendations, for the tourists sites, you're an absolute star, thanks once again. Reviewed by PeterSep 2023 "A beautiful, clean house in such an amazing setting." A well kitted out kitchen and very comfortable beds. We were lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins/porpoises on the far side of the loch; seals basking just along the shoreline; herons flying to and fro and even luckier to watch a sea otter having his fishy lunch. Thank you for the welcoming tea tray and the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful place. Beautiful setting and a great location for exploring the island. Reviewed by YvonneJun 2023 "A beautifully maintained house with everything we needed, on the shores of Loch Ainort." Large windows in the living room overlook the loch and the stunning scenery, which changes mood throughout the day. Some members of our party were difficult to entice out of the house because of those peaceful views. We saw the heron daily and otters playing in the waters plus lots of little birds. A real home from home and we'd love to come back. Reviewed by LindaMay 2023 "A most beautiful property in a stunning location." Very well equipped which made our stay very comfortable. As did the modern furniture. Fab location for exploring the whole island. Would highly recommend this cottage. And we would definitely like to stay here again if we came back to Skye. Only improvement we would have liked was better access to the water. Also, not sure if this is a Sykes thing but we don’t like having to strip beds when we’re on holiday. Especially with a 10am check out time! Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to let you know that Cuillin Shores now has a path at the front of the house for guests to have direct access to the sea Loch. In response to your comment about check out procedures, as Covid rules have now relaxed we have removed the requirement for guests to strip beds before departure. Thank you again for your comments and we hope to welcome you to Cuillin Shores again in the future. Property Owner Reviewed by NicolaAug 2022 "We stayed for our honeymoon and had the best time ever." We had a wonderful few weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The fireplace, amenities and the surrounding area were just amazing. The location of the cottage was perfect for sightseeing, from the picnic table to surrounding walks, and it was perfect for getting around the island too, as it’s so close to the road (yet so quiet!). The cottage was immaculate, and very cosy - blankets, bedding and pillows all perfect! It felt like home from home. Even though it was just us two, the cottage offered many other rooms so it would be perfect for bigger families, too. So much was provided for us, from washing up packs to washing airers! We couldn’t fault our stay at all, and we are already planning on when we might come back for another stay! :-) Thank you for looking after us so well! Will definitely be back as would like to catch a glimpse of the northern lights (great place for star gazing) and the elusive otter. Only improvement I could suggest would be a better path down to the beach, which the property next door seems to have. Thank you for your comments and we're pleased to let you know that Cuillin Shores now has a path in front of the house allowing direct access to the sea loch. We hope to welcome you back to Cuillin Shores again in the future. Property Owner Reviewed by LindsayApr 2022 "We had a great weekend thank you." House was extremely comfortable and very clean with great facilities. The only drawback was the parking. We only had one car. The driveway was steep and the turning area small. If we had had two cars it would have been very tricky. We coped but it was always a thought as to who was driving on our return to the cottage and who would park the car! Reviewed by BrendaOct 2020 "Very nicely decorated cottage, with fantastic views over the loch." Over the course of our week we saw dolphins, seals and various seabirds out of the living room windows. Great Wifi, but no Mobile signal for phones. Excellent showers, but found the halogen cooking hob challenging. Well positioned for the majority of the places we wanted to visit, and would definitely use again. Thank you for your comments. Just to add that mobile signal can be picked up in parts of the house but reception due to our location isn't great. The house does have a landline telephone for guest use for this reason i.e should there be an emergency or you need to be reached. The WifI is also very good and calls can be made using this facility. We have not had similar issues with the cooking hob but will monitor guest feedback and will look to replace it if necessary.
