The property

Meadow Lodge is a welcoming cottage set within the peaceful grounds of the owners’ home in Cerney Wick, just 2.2 miles from South Cerney.

Nestled near some of the Cotswolds’ most charming villages—including Bibury, the Rissingtons, and Bourton-on-the-Water—it offers a lovely base for families and friends looking to explore the Cotswolds AONB. After parking beside the pretty cottage and taking in the generous garden that wraps around the building, you step into a bright tiled open‑plan living space.

A vaulted ceiling rises overhead, artwork softens the walls, and a strip of exposed stone frames the wood‑burning stove—inviting you to switch it on, listen to the gentle crackle and sink into a cosy sofa.

From here, you can pull out a chair at the dining table or reach for a book from the well‑stocked bookcase. Move through to the kitchen where you can warm the hob and let the scent of dinner drift through the space, before heading outside into the large garden.

Wander across the lawn, settle at the outdoor seating area, or stroll through the owners’ adjoining gardens where a peaceful stream threads between the trees. Later, retreat to the spacious family bathroom where warm steam gathers softly, then settle into the inviting double bedroom or the restful twin room for a gentle night’s sleep. There is plenty to enjoy nearby, including the famous Cotswold Water Park—perfect for slipping into a wetsuit, making a splash, wandering lakeside trails or watching kayaks glide across the water.

Head into Cirencester to browse independent shops, delve into Roman history or relax beneath leafy canopies in its beautiful green spaces. Meadow Lodge is also perfectly positioned to discover some of the Cotswolds’ most picturesque villages.

The postcard‑perfect Slaughters, the tranquil Barringtons, and the riverside charm of Bourton‑on‑the‑Water are all within easy reach.

Bibury, often described as England’s most beautiful village, is an effortless drive away.

And for fans of Clarkson's Farm, the now‑famous Diddly Squat Farm Shop lies around 32 miles from the cottage—ideal for a fun day out in the wider countryside. Set in the owners’ beautiful grounds and nestled amongst classic Cotswold villages, Meadow Lodge offers a delightful and peaceful base for enjoying Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds AONB.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
