  • "The cottage was very well located in a quiet street next to the harbour and close to the car park."

Parking permit was welcome and easy to use. It was spotless clean and the little extras that were left made our stay very easy, such as cleaning products/utensils, tea and coffee, welcome drinks and snacks. The sofa was not very comfortable, but the bed was lovely and linen smelled beautiful, clean and fresh. As the description stated, the stairs were steep but what we didn’t know was the treads were very shallow, not deep enough for a foot, so had to come down the stairs sideways which could be a problem for anyone. Our main criticism was there was no window covering on the window in the dressing room, plain glass which overlooked the grass area where the old jail is, so no privacy at all when changing or going to the bathroom. We ended up draping a jacket and piling up pillows at night as you have to walk past it to get to the bathroom. There was a curtain rail, so this could be easily rectified by the owner. The oven was brand new and had never been used before. The reason I know this is because a piece of polystyrene was left at the back of the oven and would have made a lot of mess if I hadn’t seen it and removed it before switching the oven on. Maybe they were in a little rushed to get things ready for our stay. We had a problem one night with the tv and internet so contacted the caretaker who responded the following morning. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend. Thank you
