The property

Glan Yr Afon is a welcoming holiday retreat tucked away near the village of Bontnewydd, offering a laid-back base for families or friends keen to explore the landscapes and landmarks of North Wales.

Set in a peaceful spot, this cabin strikes a nice balance between rural calm and easy access to some of the region’s most popular destinations.

Step inside and you’ll find a thoughtfully arranged interior that makes settling in effortless.

The kitchen is well set up for everyday cooking, whether you’re putting together a quick breakfast before heading out or a hearty evening meal after a day of sightseeing.

There’s space to dine together, share plans, and linger over a glass of something warming.

After dinner, the living area invites you to relax with a Smart TV, ideal for winding down once the walking boots come off.

The cabin offers two comfortable bedrooms: a double room and a twin that works well for children, friends, or flexible sleeping arrangements.

A fresh, well-presented shower room completes the layout, keeping things simple and practical throughout your stay.

Outside, indulge yourselves in a purpose built outside bathroom with roll top bath and breathe in the country air in your open garden space which gives you room to relax, perhaps with a morning coffee or while watching the light fade at the end of the day.

Off-road parking close by keeps arrivals and day trips refreshingly straightforward, and with WiFi, heating, bed linen, and towels all included, you can focus on enjoying your time away.

The surrounding area is packed with things to see and do.

Caernarfon, with its mighty castle and waterfront views, is easily reached by car and makes for a great day out.

Llanberis offers lakeside walks around Llyn Padarn and access to Snowdon’s well-trodden paths, while Bangor provides shops, cafés, and cultural highlights.

Closer to home, Dinas Dinlle is about 1 mile away and offers a sandy beach, breathtaking views and a hilltop Iron Age Fort.

Whether you’re drawn to mountain scenery, historic towns, or relaxed coastal days, everything is close at hand.

Glan Yr Afon is a straightforward, comfortable base that puts the best of Gwynedd right on your doorstep.
