The property

Bryn Y Felin is a delightful, detached house perched above Y Felinheli, Gwynedd, with private driveway parking for one car and spectacular coastal views that frame the setting.

The layout suits shared holidays well, with three ground-floor bedrooms including two King Size doubles and a single room, alongside a ground-floor bathroom offering a bath with shower over.

A lower-ground-floor cloakroom adds extra convenience, while the reverse-level arrangement naturally draws everyone together later in the day.

Downstairs, the kitchen is arranged for relaxed self-catering, anchored by a range cooker and supported by thoughtful appliances for easy meals.

The kitchen/diner provides a sociable space for gathering around the table before stepping out onto the balcony, where open views stretch across the Menai Strait and surrounding landscape.

As evening sets in, the sitting room becomes the heart of the home, with a Smart TV and a selection of Board Games creating a welcoming setting for unwinding after a day out.

Outside, a small wildlife garden offers a simple spot to enjoy fresh air, and one well-behaved pet is welcome to join the stay.

This may look untidy to the uninitiated, but we resist cutting the grass to provide food for local bees and to protect the Slow Worms and lizards which are in residence and you may spot if you are lucky.

Y Felinheli itself is ideally placed for exploring Snowdonia and the North Wales Coast, with the Menai Strait close by and the village marina offering waterside walks and places to pause and watch boats sail past.

Nearby Caernarfon is rich in history, with its landmark castle, harbour frontage, and independent shops forming an easy day out.

Bangor adds a coastal feel with its long pier, cathedral, and selection of cafés, while Llanberis sits at the foot of Eryri, known for lakeside paths and well-established heritage attractions.

Each day brings something different, before returning to Bryn Y Felin.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £350.
