  • "We stayed in badgers set whilst visiting family and loved it."

    Such a bright, cosy, clean space. Great facilities in the club too, great added bonus. The lodge had everything we needed for our stay. The only thing I would say is the beds my children stayed in were very creaky so woke them up a few times when moving in the night. Our stay was a positive one and we will definitely stay again when we are back down south, and have already recommended it to family and friends.

  • "Accomodation so perfect for our family of 4 (visiting family from abroad) needs that we stayed twice in 2 months."

    A dishwasher would of course be an added bonus, but the washing machine was the seller for us (we had a 2.5yr old and 8 week old the first time we stayed!). During our week before christmas stay there was so many thoughtful touches to make it feel warm, welcoming and “chrismassy” (when we came back in Feb our 2 yr old kept asking where the christmas gnomes were). However, a single bed is getting very creaky, and it could possibly do with some new, softer pillows. The toilet seat in the shower suite also needs a little maintenance, along with shower drainage, and there’s quite a few silverfish running around the place (unfortunately difficult to avoid in wooded areas, so doesn’t affect our cleanliness score). Otherwise would definitely recommend and looking forward to staying again at some point.

  • "Lovely location, good facilities with the country club."

    Needs some tlc though: extractor fan in need of a hoover, loo roll holder loose and drops the loo roll, shower bracket in walk in shower needs replacing as it doesn't hold the shower head in place.

    The property itself was kept in immaculate condition. We loved the access to the indoor pool and cafe. The cafe was particularly helpful with our money coffees. Lol. We felt safe and secure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Badgers Sett."

    Just a couple of tweaks and it would have been perfect ie, no baking tray for the oven, only one tea towel and some of the logs were too big to use in the burner. Having said that, it didn’t spoil our week away. Such a lovely place to unwind and visit the local area. We made full use of the bar area (attempting) to play pool. Everyone we met are extremely helpful with suggestions of places to visit and eat out. We will definitely book to return.

  • "Property was comfortable and well equipped apart from no instructions for the hob."

    So struggled to make adequate meals apart from salads. The bifold doors face the gravel drive and we did find that cars slowed down to have a good look in as they passed. The property is in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area. We didn’t use the facilities at the club so cannot comment on them.

  • "We were very pleased with the property, it is well designed."

    There is plenty of space in the bedrooms (we brought a travel cot for our granddaughter) and the living room is very comfortable. Both en-suite bathrooms are also spacious. We also enjoyed using the swimming pool in the country club where the staff were very friendly.

  • "Lovely holiday cottage set in a really nice peaceful location near to lots of great places to visit and things to do."

    Rebekah the manager is on hand to offer assistance and is very good at sorting issues quickly and easily. We had a lovely time and felt very comfortable staying at Badgers Sett. A few small things to improve; a little kitchen radio, a pizza slicer, firmer pillows would help. The bath plus is being replaced and the shower holder needs sorting to keep it in place but the plumber came and is sorting that out I believe. Overall highly recommend it's a really lovely place.

The property

This contemporary cottage lies in the ground of the Abshot Manor and Country Club, in the Southern Hampshire village of Titchfield Common.

Presented to a wonderful standard with a complimentary membership providing access to a host of on-site facilities, Badgers Sett is a superb base for families and friends.

The open-plan living space is uplifted by natural light from the ceiling window and bi-fold doors, complete with two large sofas surrounding the woodburning stove and TV, perfect for unwinding into the evening.

Step over to the kitchen, where the head chef can utilise a range of appliances to assist with home-cooking, whilst the rest of the group set the dining table for a culinary feast.

Two sumptuous bedrooms await, with the master occupying a double bed with en-suite bathroom, whilst the twin enjoys an en-suite shower room, both neutrally presented.

Start the morning with a coffee from the gravelled patio before wandering around the well-maintained grounds and exploring the generous on-site facilities.

Abshot Holiday Cottages

A group of two luxury, well-presented holiday cottages set within the grounds of Abshot Manor and Country Club in the area of Titchfield Common in Hampshire. These delightful cottages are beautifully presented and have been designed with modern living in mind, making them suitable for couples to enjoy a romantic break away or even a honeymoon or a get together for friends when booked together. The cottages are well-presented with open plan living areas with a well-equipped kitchen, great for those cosy nights in. There is a sumptuous king-size double bedroom with fully fitted furniture, all decorated to a very high standard, with Jack and Jill access to a spacious en-suite bathroom. There is plenty of comfy seating in front of the lovely woodburner, making it a great place to relax in front of after a day out and about or even partaking in the facilities at the Country Club. The cottages are set in a shared enclosed courtyard, with its own lawned area with a picnic bench to enjoy. They are set within the grounds of the Manor and Country Club with complimentary use of the tennis courts and gym. There is a spa to take advantage of, for that relaxing day or even take a trip to the hair salon for a lovely pampering session. Within the spa there is a great bar to enjoy a cool drink. These cottages are two miles from the village of Titchfield, which is well known for its charming, historic centre, the imposing ruins of the Abbey and Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve wetland habitat which is a haven for birdwatchers. A short drive takes you to Portsmouth with plenty of shopping opportunities and spectacular seascapes from the iconic Spinnaker Tower. Within a 30 minute drive takes you to Southampton with plenty of attractions and with easy access to the New Forest National Park. Ideally located for a sailing or walking break with the extra bonus of leisure facilities to enjoy, Abshot Manor Lodges are ideal for a get together in quality surroundings.

Titchfield Common is one of several Southern Hampshire residential areas, close to both Southampton Water and Portsmouth Harbour. Titchfield village is well known for its charming, historic centre, the imposing ruins of the Abbey dating back to 1222, and Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve - 369 acres of wetland habitat, a haven for birdwatchers. Nearby Hill Head and Meon Shore offer promenades by the local beaches and views across the Solent to the Isle Of Wight. A short drive takes you to Portsmouth's historic dockyard, home to the magnificent HMS Victory, Mary Rose and many other attractions. Close by is Gunwharf Quays retail outlet and the spectacular Spinnaker Tower.
